1 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2017

Less then 30 days ago I purchased a used 2006 Jeep cherokee laredo 4x2. The dealer said the airbag sensor just needed replaced no big deal. Now I am experiencing the same thing as alot of older people. The driver's side seat belt started not latching unless I press down on the red button. So then the red seat belt indicator light won't go off and the audible chimes continuously and will not shut off while driving no matter what I do. Moving the seat belt around to try and get the chime to stop as well as the audible chiming while driving makes it very annoying and distracting from the road. I need answers on why this should be at my cost when between the airbag and seat belt sensors are truly safety issue. Their is no warranty at 154457 miles. Please advise on the airbag recall etc. . . The airbag light was on when purchased 7/18/17. The seat belt chiming and light started staying on 8/10/17.

6 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2015

The air bag indicator light in my car stays on and I was told my air bag bar in my steering wheel is broken. I was also told by a mechanic that if the air bag light is on then the air bags won't deploy in an accident. He also indicated that I may have a broken air bag bar in my steering wheel. This is of great concern as if I do get an accident and my airbags don't work then there may be injuries and possible fatalities.

8 Air Bag Light On problem

Failure Date: 03/04/2013

Pulling away from stop sign my vehicle lost power (stalled out). The lights for park, reverse, neutral, and drive all came on at one time. Lost power for about 15 seconds then car starting moving again. This has happened a few times not just the one date listed here. This was the only time I was actually pulling out into traffic. Could have caused a major wreck. Sometimes it does it while driving down road and I have to pull over to turn car off. When I start it back again it runs fine for a while. Ever since this has been happening my airbag light and engine light have been coming on and off all the time. About a year ago, I had to have a speed sensor changed on the transmission cause the car would not shift through gears cost me around $800 because it had to be taken to a transmission service center. Are these problems all related? bought this car from a private seller (one owner) well taken care of. All maintenance was up to date when I purchased the car about 1 1\2 years ago. Is there any recalls on any of the problems I listed here?.
