Suspension Noise problems of the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The front suspension on the summit is an adjustable air bag system. When set to level two there is a loud banging sound when traversing even the smallest bumps such as a speed bump or a bumpy gravel road construction exit to parking. Country to what the dealer says, excessive speed is not involved. If fact the system level auto lowers above 20 mph. This happens at one to five mph. It sounds like a sledge happen, literally metal to metal. This is not good. Dealer says" it's normal". I went on the Jeep forum and two responses to my post are that this does not happen to on their vehicles. Jeep garage forum has a few saying otherwise. Below is one of those posts that I trust is correct. I've had mine to two dealers three times. The first time they changed the right front shock assembly. The second two times it's now "normal". The noise you hear is the shock limiting out internally, not the airbag rebounding. It creates a ¿hammer¿ that will cause premature mechanical and electrical problems as well as body rattles. It will definitely crack or break shock and frame mounts if you use that mode very much. At about 10,000 miles it can cause the suspension cross arm bolts to loosen and allow the front end out of alignment. This could have resulted in a deadly crash. Their solution was to grease the unit bolts so the impact would not cause the attach bolts to loosen as easily. This is a terrible design that Jeep is aware of and expects us to accept. Had they demonstrated this flaw at the point of sale, I would have purchased something else. Hopefully, if enough people express strong dissatisfaction they will design a fix. ".
