After an oil change, my Jeep starting ticking. I've read of several recalls. My Jeep is having all 10 of the recall issues.
My Jeep has started experiencing rough driving and the gears slipping. I took it for service and they told me all the issues wrong were under a recall. (NHTSA 23-e-019) equipment safety recall 21a. He indicated: uplift timing, torque converter engagement, shift points, calibration issues, downshifts and other things. I called my local dealer and gave them my VIN but they stated my vehicle has not been recalled and they won't fix it. The big concern is the slipping gears. It lungs forward at times and I am scared it is going to cause an accident. It is very rough to drive. The service 4 wheel drive system light came on. It started 4/27/23. It is very bad when turning the vehicle and driving slow.
The front suspension makes a creaking noise when it gets cold outside and gets worse the colder it gets. It was like that when I bought it from the dealership, but they would not let me test drive the vehicle on the road. They also had to replace the radiator. With the suspension acting up, it was knocking the front end out of alignment, so the dealership did an alignment for me. 3 months later the creaking noise is getting worse and my front end is out of alignment again. The dealership refuses to do anything about it. I am afraid my suspension is going to fail and I am going to wreck my Jeep going down the highway.
A warning flashed temporarily on the dashboard while I was driving on a normal paved road indicating a suspension problem needs to be addressed. When I parked the vehicle, I noticed the air ride suspension was completely inflated on the vehicle which made it appear lifted high above the tires. This had never happened before. Nothing prior to this point made me think there was a pending problem with the suspension. . I brought the vehicle to a legitimate Jeep dealership trusting in their trained technicians. They had the vehicle for 21 days, each day telling me they did not understand what was wrong. The dealership even had to consult with corporate engineers to ultimately fix the problem. The cost to me was $1525. 00.
Front left strut leaking and had to be replaced. Backing plate by rotors had to be adjusted because of rattling noise. Only 37,000 miles and 4. 5 years old.
Power steering rack loses fluid between the rack and the boot. The rack has been replaced twice for the same issue and now needs a 3rd replacement rack. Loss of power steering fluid can lead to loss of steering ability and poses a safety risk.
Driving over imperfections in the road causes the steering wheel to shake. The faster we travel the faster & more severe the shaking. I have had the vehicle checked by numerous shops & all steering & suspension components are in good condition.
I was sold a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an open recall on the vehicle (recall r38).
Air suspension on rear not functional. Air bags completely empty. No warning within dash display.
When driving at approx 25 miles an hour the car seemed to change gear and cause a jerking and jolting motion.
I returned this Jeep twice to dealer letting know that the transmission had a hard bang between shifting, they continue to say that this normal. The service manager says it because of the electronic system, I told them that I have driving for over forty years and have heard of such thing and this sounds more like a torque converter issue not a computer, needless to say they continue to say nothing is wrong. I am in the process of scheduling another appointment because it continues to get worse.
