Where to start. Display module glue is falling apart. Can no longer use my screen due to poor glue adhesion. All adas systems malfunctioning: fcw, lka, automatic emergency breaking, blind spot warning, acc, rear cross traffic warning systems do not work. Overall bad build quality and cannot use safety features.
The uconnect system laminate bubbles and as such, the system has a phantom buttom touch every few seconds. While driving, this results in an audible ding, the navagation no longer is visible, you are unable to use the backup cameras. I have also been in a situation where it turned on the seat and steering wheel heating and I was unable to turn it off. This is a very wide spread issue and is an incredible safety hazard when driving. It effectively makes it not possible to control the electronics of the vehicle while driving. I urge anyone reading this who does not think this is a huge issue to try driving one of these vehicles while this is happening. I used to drive over 20k miles a year with my previous vehicle. This issue started a month after I bought this vehicle from vroom. As such, I have driven less than 1,200 miles in 18 months. I am incredibly surprised that this has not been recalled yet. I am trying to upload a video of it but it will not let me. This is a major problem.
While using the acc function and setting forward distance at any length the problem is that when the car in front of you slows, stops,,or turns my vehicle will brake on its own. However, while braking during the mentioned operation the big problem is that the brake lights do not illuminate. I have had several close calls with someone nearly running into the back of my vehicle during the use of the adaptive cruise control (acc). This can be extremely dangerous if you are now fully aware of this problem. This should have been addressed during the acc hazardous examination phase. A very simple fix would be to install an I/p switch in the brake line at the master cylinder so that the pressure from the acc applying the brakes sends the pneumatic signal to an electrical signal that lights up the brake lights. This problem should absolutely have been caught and addressed during the design phase. I found out when I asked a service manager about it and he said the lights do not come on. He also said they know about it.
