Tl-the contact leased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the contact stated while at a stop light the vehicle failed to shift into gear and stalled. The auto park on ,place vehicle in park message was displayed. . \the check engine light was illuminated. The contacted attempted to restart vehicle several times. There was an abnormal burning smell detected and smoke emerging from vehicle. The vehicle was towed to brown's Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram 483 NY-112, patchogue, NY 11772(631) 289-8500 but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 3,800. Ap.
The check engine light keeps coming on it has to do with the emissions control the vehicle does not run properly. It has been in the shop 3 times going on number 4 for the same exact problem. I was told that it falls under the lemon law because the emissions control system is defective in that vehicle. My wife was driving the vehicle with our three month old grandchild and the vehicle would not accelerate would not move at all in traffic on a busy highway with vehicles passing by her at 45 to 50 miles an hour.
