Windshield problems of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The contact and wife own a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While at work, the contact's wife discovered that a vertical crack had formed on bottom passenger’s side windshield without incident. The contact stated that the crack obstructed he and his wife's vision while driving. The contact's wife called an independent mechanic and a dealer and both informed her that they could not replace or program the windshield. She was then referred to another independent mechanic through the insurance provider who informed her that they could program the windshield; however, the replacement windshield for her model vehicle had not yet been released. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
