I have 34,000 miles on my keep I am the original owner and my tires have been rotated every 5,000 miles. The tread is cracking on every tire. Tire size is 265/59/20 fortera hl. I called goodyear and they will do nothing they say rotting is only warranted for 4 years. How can that be? it’s a 60,000 mile tire. I brought it to goodyear in jericho n. Y and was told by sean there is nothing he could do. I was also in touch with pamela pringle from customer support and she never got back to me. It is unsafe to drive on those tires and goodyear should replace them.

The contact owns a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4wd. The vehicle has goodyear wrangler tires, size p235/70r16. The contact stated that the independent owner who sold the vehicle to the contact had brand new tires placed on the vehicle. At approximately 38,000 miles, the goodyear tires began to experience tread separation. She noticed that the vehicle was not driving properly at speeds 50 mph and less. The tires were also separating from the hubcaps or rims and then flattened. The tire was repaired. Later, the second tire flattened. The tire was replaced with the spare tire that came with the vehicle. Three months later, she awakened to find that the tire was entirely flat. She placed air in the tire, but it remained soft. After 27,000 miles, all four goodyear, wrangler st tires exhibit cracks, adjacent to the rim for the full distance around each tire. The local goodyear store was familiar with the problem and has offered to replace all four tires on a prorated basis. Based upon similar complaints on this web site, and the potential ugly results from tire failure, I am registering my complaint also. The tire size is 225/75r16.

Was driving on i35w heading south in tarrent county texas. Was doing posted speed of 70m/hr and had the tread come off of the back right tire. Vehicle was in 2 wheel drive at this time. Lost control for a breif instant. Got stoped safely, and put on spare tire. Went to dealer to have vehicle checked 2 days later when open. Found alinment was now off. Had allinment fixed. Went to firestone dealer in denton, TX and requested help. Offered to replace tire with a new one. Answer was not acceptable, because replacing one tire would give poor handiling characteristics. Tried e-mailing firestone, got a reply about the recal of the tires that did not afect me. Tried calling firestone, said they could not help. I do not feal safe driving my vehicle with firestones on it any longer and am wishing to try to get a different brand of tires to replace them.
