The contact owns a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated while approximately 40 mph, the horn independently sounded with the illumination of the entire instrument panel. In addition, when the vehicle was in operation the headlights would remain illuminated continuously even though the control mechanism was deactivated. There was a recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 12v527000 (air bags), however the part remained unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the problem and they informed that the defects were related to the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 153,000.
Dealer replaced the front tires twice, and vehicle vibrated while driving at any speed. Also, headlights/ horn/windshield wipers, and the speedometer failed while driving the vehicle.
The entire electrical system in my 2002 Jeep Liberty limited went haywire. The horn stuck on, the back glass window popped open, the signal relay was buzzing, the door open bell was ringing, and the speedometer was dead, all while I was doing 60 mph on a highway.
