Two issues as follows; 1) the lower front ball joints had deteriorated and make a loud popping and clunking noise when turning at low speeds. Our mechanic says the lower front ball joints have completely failed, creating a very dangerous safety issue. 2) the airbag light stays on, does not turn off.
Passenger side "airbag light and dash airbag malfunction" are lighted continuously. The parts (2) have been on order for 3. 5 months. The dealer cannot get an estimated time of arrival from Chrysler or the parts vendor. Chrysler has provided a rental car and the dealer has my 2004 Jeep Liberty sport with 9712 miles. On the odometer. The Chrysler bankruptcy has left me in limbo. I and the dealer are very concerned about the safety of this vehicle.
