Side wall blow out. The consumer stated the tire just blew out on the highway, no foreign objects found in the tire. Updated 10/11/07.

2 Tire Sidewall problem

Failure Date: 06/04/2007

The contact owns a 2005 Jeep Liberty. While driving 60 mph, the contact heard a loud rumbling noise coming from the rear driver side of the vehicle. She noticed that the sidewall of the rear driver side tire had disintegrated. The tire was a goodyear wrangler, size p235/70r16. The tire manufacturer was unable to determine the cause of failure. At the time of the complaint, the tire size mentioned was not an available option. The current mileage is 34,758 and failure mileage was 34,748. Updated 02/01/08. Updated 02/01/08.
