1 Engine problem

Failure Date: 03/31/2009

2006 Jeep Liberty 4x4 engine misfires due to poor valve design with only 26,000 miles on the vehicle. Found codes po 301, 302, 303, 304 (cylinder misfires). Removed cylinder heads and found intake valves to be failing, replaced intake valves and keepers and lapped valves. Chrysler knew about the problem, redesigned the valves did not issue a recall notice and the vehicle is now 4 months out of warranty.

2 Engine problem

Failure Date: 08/28/2007

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Liberty 4x4. The contact received a recall letter for the blower motor on his vehicle. He has been waiting thirty days for the part to arrive so his vehicle can be repaired. The dealer informed him that the part arrived. On August 28, 2007, the contact took his vehicle to the dealer and remained there the entire day. The contact was informed that the part had not arrived after all, but the vehicle currently remains at the dealer. The current and failure mileages were 3,500.
