Frame Rust problems of the 2006 Jeep Liberty

Today the Jeep dealer said the frame rail was not good enough to install the hitch as called for in the recall. I called the Chrysler complaint line and was told there is nothing Chrysler can do. So now I must drive an unsafe vehicle, how can I sell it, or even trade it in. What am I supposed to do now? I read that vehicles less than 10 years old could be purchased back. These Jeeps were recalled for rear suspension componets rusting up so now that the frames is rusting I have to drive a death trap. I am wondering how many times Chrysler is using these excuses in order to not do anything. One could even think this recall was crafted in such a way that Chrysler could get off using these excuses what are the people in my situation supposed to do????.
