Already had recall rear control arms then Jeep was making noise front driver side I went to run corner on city street control arm in front broke blew out tire and rim had to have it tow then not even 6 months later upper control arm passengers identified same thing I was lucky enough to not be on highway electrical problems had car 3 1/2 yes replace compressor twice and alternator twice every now radio goes off and on lites go dangerous car but CA n t afford to do anything about it.
I have a faulty window regulator in my back right window. I have had each window fixed at least once due to a faulty window regulator. I have one window fixed twice. This issue was previously covered under an extended warranty; however, the latest issue occurred after the extended warrant expired. Currently the back right window won't stay up. I've pushed it up on a weekly basis and it slowly falls. I'm concerned that pretty soon I'll have to keep the window up using tape or other measures. It's not safe to drive with the window constantly falling, especially if and when I have children in the back seat of my car.
The back right passenger window regulator broke and the window fell down into the door. It has been taped for a while because it is astronomically expensive to fix. I see many Jeeps driving around all the time with tape on the windows because of this exact issue. After googling the issue it is well known in the Jeep community.
I have two (2) Jeep Liberty's both 2006 (1) renegade, & (1) sport, both vehicles have had the window regulater's fail, (2) - window regulater's failed on the renegade, (1) on the driver's front side window, the regulater had to be replaced on 02/12/11 & agian (1) on the driver's rear window, the regulater had to be replaced on 05/18/12 this was on the 2006 Jeep renegade. (2) - window regulater's failed, on the Jeep sport, (1) on the driver's rear window, the window regulater had to be replaced on 09/19/11 & (1) window regulater again on the same window on 10/08/14 needs to be replaced, the same window regulater needed to be fixed twice within three years & 20 days, the dealer would not fix the window under warrenty because it was over the exp. Date by 20 days, why is it always the window regulaters because it's a plastic part and that's why it keeps failling, that's just bull I have spent over 1200. 00 dollars on repairs on windows regulater's alone & it's the same part each time all 4-windows, I uesd to be a great fan of Jeep, I've owned Jeeps for (20) years now, but I have becom really disapointed with my vehicle's, the first time it happened I was on the highway driving at 65 mph when the window suddenly opened, the wind ripped through my vehicle started to blow things around so bad that I had to pull over and tape my window up so I could make it home, and I'm not the only one, alot of Jeep Liberty owners have had the same thing happen to them and had to replace the window regulaters, thank you.
2006 Jeep Liberty limited 4x4, all 4 of the windows have had regulator failure causing the windows to fall down into the door. These have all occurred at different times and even without anyone being in the vehicle. One of the recently replaced regulators that had already been repaired once have failed again while my wife was at work. She came out to leave work in the dark and as she went to drive off she noticed a window in the rear was down. She did not put it down it failed and fell on its own while inside of her place of employment again. This is a hazard that would have allowed someone to enter her vehicle and either steal from the vehicle or attack her. So all 4 power windows have failed and now they are starting to fail again. Warranty will expire this October and we fear we will be left with constant repairs and she constantly worries about her safety knowing it will most likely happen again. Rear gate also had a loud rattling noise coming from it and after it was supposedly fixed by dealer under warranty wife could not get the gate open to load groceries. Upon inspection by me I found that the Chrysler Jeep dealership just wrapped the gate latch striker with electrical tape instead of replacing the defective latch causing the door latch to bind and not open. This vehicle needs to either be recalled or enforce a mandatory TSB on a working revision of new parts.
