The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Liberty. The contact was driving approximately 35 mph with the cruise control in activation. The anti-lock brake system, skid, traction control and electronic stability program warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle decelerated independently and the cruise control became inactive. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they were unable to diagnose the failure. The mechanic discovered that the upper ball joint would need replacing. The vehicle was not repaired.
