All 4 of my windows have fallen in to the door. Each happened at a different time. Two while I was driving 75mph down the highway and could not pull over. The cost to repair the defective window motor is $450 each! apparently this is a very common problem with this model and year. I have seen thousands of complaints online. I have temporarily held the windows up with zip ties. I am very worried about the safety of this. None of my windows roll down now! I have been in a roll over accident (in a different vehicle) where it was necessary for me and the passenger to crawl out of the window to exit the car. There would be no way for me to escape if my doors were damaged. What is Jeep doing about this obvious defect?.

Windows fall into door while driving. Veh is over 7 yrs. Therefore Jeep will not over the cost to replace faulty part.

38 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2014

I have received recall notices for my 2007 Jeep Liberty (n46 / NHTSA 13v-252). On 2/19/14 I took the first recall notice to the dealership and was put on a waiting list to have the repair made. I have since received a second notice, but there is still no action from my dealership. I called Chrysler about a month ago, and was given a lecture on supply and demand instead of being given a reasonable time frame to expect the repair. I may be relocating soon, which means I will have to go to another dealership and go to the bottom of their waiting list.

39 Equipment problem

Received safety recall from Chrysler stating the fuel tank has a smll chance of expriencing a fuel leak during certain types of rear end collision. It may cause a fire. I reported the problem to my Jeep dealer here in saint petersbur, with no results. They said the manufacturer has to send the part, whici is trailer hitch to be installed at no cost to me. So far, nothing is happeniing. According to the dealer, it must be original equiplment supply by them. Can you help me, please? thanks for your time.

I have gotten a notice that my 2007 Jeep Liberty had a recall and a trailer hitch was to be put on it to prevent the fuel tank catching fire if in a rear end accident. . . . I have not heard no more on it and was wonder when this was to be taken care of. . . . . Thank you. . . . . N46/NHTSA 13v-252 (7w519948 n46).

41 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/19/2013

Received recall notice n46 in June 2013. The recall is to remedy faulty exposure of the fuel tank by installing a towing hitch to the vehicle. To date, one year and one month later, after numerous contacts to the local Jeep dealership, miller's Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram, 48 kelly island rd, martinsburg, wv, 25401, the recalled part has yet to be installed. This is an unacceptable amount of time to await a recall for a problem that could result in explosion of the fuel tank upon impact, and feel Chrysler Jeep should be held to a higher accountability and more timely resolution to this problem. Thank you.

This is a complaint about the fuel issue that I have seen on here already. When I go to put fuel into the gas tank, it will not stop at the end as it's filling up. It just overflows. I would say at least a few cups of fuel flows down the side of the Jeep and down into the bottom of the vehicle and wheel well. I know that at some point it will lead to rust/corrosion among many other issues. I really wish this could be looked at and possibly fixed by manufacturer. It doesn't make sense that there are more than enough complaints about the same issue, with no help from the manufacturer. I also have the same problems as others with the windows. The regulator has a piece that breaks and then the whole regulator has to be replaced. This has happened 3 times already on different windows. Lastly, I just recently had an issue where the Jeep wouldn't start. The console lights and guages work fine and it acted like all was well, but the car wouldn't turn over when the key was turned. The result was the ignition switch actuator pin. It has a piece that breaks off and when that happens, the Jeep wont be able start. It isn't an easy fix for someone who isn't mechanically capable. Again, this is an issue that has happened to many people and honestly the manufacturer should do something about this. I could complain about more, but let's just leave it at that.

The abs control module alerts there is a problem with the abs system randomly while driving. We were told there is a recall f50, NHTSA campaign id #06v49300, regarding this from our local mechanic. We had the vehicle serviced on 07/30/2012 at a authorized Jeep service center dealership regarding this problem, module and associated wiring were replaced at our cost. This didn't fix the problem. We didn't resolve the issue any further until now, since we were not satisfied with our experience at this service center dealership. Today we contacted another local authorized Jeep service center dealership and the daimler Chrysler recall center regarding the n46 recall [gasoline storage tank assembly/hitch] and the previous f50 recall. Both said the f50 recall is not associated with for our VIN. However, after doing some further investigation on the NHTSA website it seems the f50 recall is assigned to 2007 Jeep Liberty 2wd only. Therefore, it appears that this may be the reason our vehicle is not eligible for the is recall and we must now pay out of pocket again to fix this major safety hazard. We have schedule an appointment with an authorized Jeep service center dealership for them to reprogram the abs electronic control unit per the remedy assigned to NHTSA campaign id #06v49300 at our own expense. The purpose of this complaint is to notify you that this problem is also on the 2007 Jeep Liberty 4x4wd and if you could please correct/add 4x4wd VIN numbers to this recurring problem so that possibly we may be eligible for reimbursement from Chrysler. Thank you for looking into the matter. Don mills 586-337-2775.

44 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 04/08/2012

Three power windows, driver, passenger and back passenger side have gone out due to motor failure. One was replaced but the window still tilts when lowered and raised. All three windows had same issue prior to failing. Apparently this is a widespread problem and I am beginning to wonder why there is no recall.

45 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2011

Gas tank problem; every time I filled the tank when nuzzle stops filling it shut a line of gasoline out to the point that if you not know will wet all your clothing.

46 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2011

The windows in my Jeep are falling down. In 2011, each window fell down. I would park my Jeep and the next morning the window was down. I took it to the dealer and they repaired the first window. Then the next window fell down and again they repaired that one. They made me wait for the next to windows to fall down one at a time and repaired them. Now my windows are falling down again. On 9/6/2015 my window fell down during the night. I just had it repaired on 9/10/2015. I notified daimler Chrysler corporation. They responded, that unfortunately it was my problem and there was nothing they could do. It will cost me 174. 43 for each window regulator lift plate to be fixed. I must have my windows fixed. I can not park my Jeep somewhere and have the windows fall down. This is a safety issue, I feel it needs to be addressed.

47 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/20/2009

Passenger side window in front made a loud noise and went down when rolling down power window. Then one by one each of my trucks window did the same thing. None of the windows will roll back up. When I called the dealership she was aware told me this happens to all of those types of vehicles and when I replace them more than likely it will happen again. To fix the regulators in all four windows will be 350-500 per window to repair. The regulator from what I understood is a small plastic piece in these specific trucks that break all the time.

48 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2008

I recently wrote about my window regulator complaints but omitted the probably most important issue. I know of several incidents involving shattered glass making its way into the cabin of the vehicle. Fortunately this hasn't happened to me (yet) because I was traveling at slower speeds. Even so, coming out to your vehicle while on vacation and finding the window regulator failed while parked certainly ruins your day. Especially if it's extremely cold or hot outside.

49 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2008

Power windows don't roll up straight, window lift plate breaks, causing window to drop down inside door. This is a constant problem with 2007 Liberty. Occurs when standing still,or in motion. This has occurred 4 times, between 6-27-2008 and 10-7-2015.

50 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/23/2007
