After filling my gas tank and grocery shopping, I came out to my car and it wouldn't start, I then had it towed to my local Jeep dealership, they diagnosed it as a faulty tipm sensor, after researching online, turns out I am one of hundreds of thousands dealing with the same issue, Chrysler should have to be held responsible for knowingly continuing to install faulty sensors and then not assisting with repairs. Outrageous!!! what is the point of investing in an american brand when they are not held accountable?? losing all my faith. . .
Today and six days ago I parked my Jeep, turned off the ignition and removed my key. I went to start my car about one hour later and there were no display lights on my dashboard. The vehicle would not start and the shift lever could not be moved. I thought I might have a dead battery. A friend stopped by my car. He tried to start the car with my key. No electrical power or lights were present. He opened the hood and said everything looked fine. He closed the hood hard. He put the key in the ignition and moved it around. The display lights came on and the car started. I had the battery checked and it was fine. I put a new battery in the car less than one year ago. The same thing happened today while I was at the post office. Is this an electrical problem or a bad ignition? a neighbor said he heard something about an ignition problem with Chrysler.
