Airbag light on airbag making noise doors and windows unlock on its own steering wheel.
Faulty tipm several electronic issues including electronic throttle system. Vehicle doesn't respond due to faulty tipm sometimes starts very rough and stalls out.
Airbag light is on. Right front passenger door won’t lock or unlock automatically. Left front aux light inop. Not bulb related. Right front aux light goes off when right turn signal is activated.
My airbag light came on a few weeks ago and hasn't stopped going on and off it makes that annoying sound the whole trip every time I drive, the heat won't cut on it blows cold air I've had it looked at and repaired allegedly but it still won't blow hot air, the car keeps stalling and it has completely shut off on me 3 times while I have been driving once on a busy freeway I was luckily by grace of god able to turn the wheel off to the side of the road before it locked I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm currently pregnant this is insane and nobody can tell me what's wrong with it or how to fix any of these problems I got a loan for this car so now I'm stuck with this death trap, and now I'm seeing all these complaints about the same thing I'm baffled by the neglect and lack of concern or care for customers and there families who ride in their vehicles safety, I would think it would be a no brainer to recall the whole car if you can't fix the safety concerns or don't have a solution, I need a car to drive I'm wasting so much money on rentals because I have no options with this Jeep I need a solution this is crazy I rely on my vehicle for work as I do uber eats and grub hub I need help!!.
The tipm in my Jeep is messing up and causing engine stalling, radio failure, etc. I have a blue driver that constantly gives me codes related to this part defect. I've also got an airbag light coming on all the time and yet my VIN shows no recalls for this part. If I get into an accident my airbag might possible fail. My engine has almost stalled 3-4 times since I've owned it either from a stop light accelerating or crossing at an intersection this is very dangerous.
Rain leaks through rear door and trips sensors and activates alarm.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the vehicle had a skyslider roof that malfunctioned. The contact had to forcefully shut the roof after the cables disconnected from the guide rails with the convertible sun roof. The contact called rothrock Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (1608 plaza ln, allentown, PA 18104, (610) 439-8485), but the parts were too hard to obtain so they did not want to attempt to make any repairs. The manufacturer informed the contact to get a repair estimate without any chance of reimbursement. The failure mileage was 44,000.
The doors do lock through the electrical system. You can manually lock and unlock the vehicle but can not lock/unlock through the electrical system. Cd player also does not work. I believe the issue may be stemming from the fuse box under the hood, I have checked all the fuses and everything shows to be good.
Right front turn signal inop. Replacement tipm has circut swap for right front turn signal.
While driving the window driver side suddenly dropped and smoke came out of the driver door panel. Smoke increased rapidly and he began to emanate from the door. Once pulled over flames began coming through the plastic portion of the door where the window and door lock controls are located.
The lift gate sensor gets damp when it rains due to the way the weather stripping is installed on the back window on the gate. This causes the gate ajar sensor to go off thus causing the alarm to go off. The only way to stop it is to not be able to lock your vehicle which is not safe either. This has been happening repeatedly almost daily for the last 2 months.
The check service engine light comes on because of the gas cap even if the gas cap has been replaced with a manufacture gas cap. The air bag light comes on and off for no reason.
I was driving at 60mph on the garden state pkwy when the Jeep just died!!! I was in the middle lane and all the lights went on and I barely was able to glide over 3 lanes to the shoulder and wait for tow truck. I have this Jeep for 3 years and this is the 3rd major repair I had to do on it!!!.
While driving my 2011 Jeep Liberty with the cruise control set at 70mph on I-65 interstate coming out of gary indiana the tell-tales lit up and the car dropped out of cruise control and it took the car a few seconds to gain power again. This all started with the drivers door not unlocking with the remote. A diagnostics was run on the car and they said they couldn't find anything wrong, other than a rear sensor on the brake making the brake light come on. Doing an internet research the tipm sensor is the cause of most of these problems which Chrysler doesn't want to admit. This same issue was deemed not an issue a few years back by the NHTSA with the Liberty but deemed no good by the NHTSA for the Jeep cherokee and Dodge durango. This was a dangerous situation for me and my family. If I hadn't took action as quick as I did we would have been rear ended by a semi. I don't feel safe driving this SUV and this is my wife's car which she takes my son to school in. The NHTSA needs to do something about this issue now.
Driving my 2011 Jeep Liberty with 54,000 miles at 8am Saturday June 10 2017 at 50mph on a rural road. Without warning, the dashboard lights up, tachometer goes crazy, and the car died. The battery is 8 months old, there's no power at all to the cabin. It's not a fuel pump issue, the car is died at 50mph. Fortunately, I was able to pull off onto the shoulder. All indications is that it's the tipm totally integrated power module. Which Dodge knows is an issue and you all have denied as an issue. I had to have the car towed to a local shop, there was no starting it. It was actually drug up onto the flatbed because the transmission was locked in park. Turning the key did nothing to free the shift lever. Car complaints. Com speaks loudly and clearly to the tipm. When I opened the hood, there is a relay clicking away, I removed and replaced that relay, no change to the dead Liberty. VIN 1j4pn2gk8bw592874.
I was leaving work about a month ago and I was going about 45mph. All of a sudden my car sounded like it was in neutral when it was in drive. I had to switch to the number 2 on my column just to get it to drive. Then, my air bag light, abs light, hazard lights, engine light, battery light, and probably multiple others came on. My speedometer went crazy and said I was driving at 0 mph. My car starting shaking like it was going to shut off in the middle of the road. Luckily, I was able to get it into a parking lot where it shut off and completely died. It sounded like a clicking but would not start when turning the key. I am very lucky that I did not get stuck in the road when it started to die and get t-boned. This should be addressed before it causes someone to crash.
I presently own a 2011 Jeep Liberty sport. The problem is the instrument panel instrument cluster. At 30,113 miles, 6/26/14 I took the Jeep in to check partial display of background lighting on the temp guage. The tech stated that all those clusters eventually fail, that this is only the start, it cannot be repaired, and you have to order the whole cluster as the problem cannot be fixed. The guage cluster was supposed to be ordered, but paperwork was lost by the dealership, and since the Jeep was not now under warranty I didn't pursue a solution as it seemed a small problem. Now at 52,000 miles, 5/5/17 the guage dials still work, but the Jeep cannot be driven at night since the guages are not backlite and dark, such as speedometer, fuel and temp guages and are impossible to read, and the odometer, trip meters are not displaying. This problem will have to be fixed by replacement at my expense, because I felt it as a small problem and I could live with it, but over time it unsafe now. But I hope to shed some light on this ongoing defect for safety purposes and to save other Jeep owners headache and frustation. Thank you and god bless.
The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the occupant restraint module (orc) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v282000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.
I own a 2011 Jeep Liberty sport 4x4. The tipm is failing. When the car warms up, all of the dash warning lights illuminate, the speedometer fails and the accelerator fails. On some occasions the Jeep fails to idle and dies, on other occasions the car idles too high on it's own like someone is revving the engine all on its own. I have taken it to the dealership and they have diagnosed a faulty tipm module, which will cost $1200 to replace. However, they are unable to obtain a tipm module due to none being available. I was told it could be months before they can get one in, due to the massive demand. I noticed there is a recall on this module for 2011 Jeep Liberty's manufactured after June 2011. My vehicle was manufactured before that date. I see that Chrysler recently settled a class action law suit for this same problem in other vehicles. I work for a prestigious product liability law firm and plan to look into another class action. This problem needs to be recalled for all affected vehicles.
The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. On several occasions, the headlights and windshield wipers operated independently. The contact also stated that the driver and passenger turn signal indicators failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
"takata recall" I had this vehicle for over a year. About two months in it started shutting off, all the lights on the dashboard lights up for no reason. Sometime when I drive the headlights shut of and the vehicle starts shaking tremendously. The vehicle occasionally stops when I am driving on the interstate or wherever. I have taken it in on numerous occasions but the dealer cannot seem to find the problem.
So yesterday after work I get in my car and start it, and I noticed my airbag light came on. I figured maybe the sensor was triggered by the hot weather but that still didn't make sense. So I look up what I should do in the manual and it says take it to the dealer (they were closed). The next day, I thought surely the code would clear and all would be well. To my surprise my light was still on. I take my car to the dealership to get checked out (mind you, I have 2 warranties on this car) and I just know it will be covered. Wrong! I was shocked and dismayed to find out that my airbag has 2 problems, the seat belt sensor has blown out and the the airbag module is blown out (meaning it will not deploy if I get in an accident). On top of all this, neither of these problems are covered by my $4,000 warranty and will cost me $910 before taxes. Seriously??? I shouldn't have to pay a dime extra for what I was under the impression of already purchasing: a safe vehicle. This is absolutely unacceptable. Please do something about this soon. Someone could die.
While driving home from the grocery store, the dome lights and gate open warning light came on. Since it was after dark, the light from the dome light was blinding and made it very difficult to see. I immediately pulled over and checked the tailgate. The tailgate and window were both firmly latched. When starting to drive again, it went out but almost immediately came back on. Fortunately I was about a mile from home and made it home without incident. This should be reported to the NHTSA as a potential crash problem as the bright light suddenly coming on could cause an accident. I know there are some other electrical recalls for this model and year Jeep and this should be added to the list.
I tried to start my car and, with the exception of the radio and lights coming on, nothing happened. After towing it to a couple locations, the dealership determined that the car--like so many other Jeeps--had a faulty tipm. . Read more...
Electrical icons continue to appear on dashboard like traction, abs, service engine soon, gauge for rpm is 0 mp, engine gauge remain at engine speed. When taken to Jeep dealership for repair I was told there was nothing wrong with the Jeep it is running correctly. And yet the Jeep cut completely down for 10 mins on the expressway. When on the street all icons come on and I have to pull over because Jeep has shut down.
Tl - the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that anti-freeze was leaking on the passenger side floor board. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the heater coil was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 42,000 and the current mileage as 64,000. Rk.

The failure was located at the heater core failed and caused the coolant to leak. The heater core needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000 and the current mileage was 54,000. Rvk.
Window not working properly, cannot be fixed by Chrysler?.
The rear window opens unexpectedly when the vehicle is off and unlocked. This has occurred numerous times, and it may be occurring when the vehicle is locked, as well, however, this has not been confirmed. Since the rear window sometimes opens during rain events, the vehicles interior has a musty, moldy odor as a result of the rear window opening.
Well, upon buying the vehicle the defects that culminated are left blinker housing, had water condensation, coolant leakage onto engine, water pump replaced, tensioner, lifter replaced, these areas I noticed a chain like rattle and still to this day when vehicle is cold or sometimes started up, will make a chain like rattle. Rear shocks were leaking and replaced. Sometimes engine stalls at idle at red lights, but quickly idles beyond 1000 rpms, upon acceleration. Exhaust pipe readjusted, this was noticed by mechanic. Several other problems are occuring, while vehicle has been turned off, myself and family notices a sound coming from the dash, as if c. D. Is spining in disc changer while vehicle turned off. Actuator is in need of replacing for a/c, noise is noticed, when either a/c or heater is turned on/off.
