2 Air Brake problem of the 2010 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 01/19/2011

While backing down a driveway, my brand new Jeep Liberty's service brake did not work and I was only stopped after hitting a pole. There is currently a recall for my make, model, and year; however, my specific vehicle (acccording to Chrysler) should be effect-- though my accident fits the recall description perfectly.

3 Air Brake problem of the 2002 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 02/13/2003

I was driving about 20 miles an hour on dry pavement on a clear day. The vehicle in front of me breaked, I pressed on my break and my Jeep Liberty did not slow at all. I continued to press harder on the break injuring my right foot and then slammed into the car in front of me.

4 Air Brake problem of the 2002 Jeep Liberty

Failure Date: 12/12/2002

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty limited. I bought it brand new. The first winter I had it the front end started to slide in a light dusting of snow. I had a more aggressive tirse put on in the spring thinking this would solve the problem, it didn't. Jeep says it is normal for the front of the vehicle to slide without anti lock brakes. There is no control when your heading for a tree. When I bought this Jeep, I was not made aware that it would slide because it didnt have anti lock brakes. Why did I pay extra for a limited Liberty without antilock brakes? my daughters and my saftey are more important than a cd and cassette player. Upgrading from a front wheel drive to a 4 wheel drive limited Liberty is a big disappointment.
