The airbag deployed while driving down the road. Was unaware of the recall. Dealer said they can not fix because the airbag already deployed. Had minor physical injury to the left arm but definitely mental distress. Air bag light came on which it had before then 30-60 seconds later airbag deployed without warning.

The airbag deployed on my wife that was in her third trimester pregnancy while driving on the highway, which left the baby and my wife at risk. She was sent to the emergency for abdominal trauma. Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or ram dealer were unable to locate a recall number for the Jeep airbag system occupant restraint control (orc) module. It was a very long process and Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or ram dealership located on I-10 kept giving us different responses about our airbag being at the dealership and then later finding out that they did not have the airbag in stock. The dealership offered $500 to keep the vehicle, but I refused and just wanted them to repair the airbag. The dealership kept calling us to pick up the vehicle and in order to do that, we would have to get it towed to where we lived. Luckily, a staff member at the dealership informed us that if we were to pick up the Jeep at that time then we would be fully responsible for it and could not hold the dealership accountable if something worse happened. Instead of following through with towing it, we did our own research and discovered that there were several similar testimonies about this issue for the same year make and model, (2003 Jeep Liberty). We called corporate several times and they were unable to locate the recall number nor give us a solution. After several months had passed, we finally received a recall number via text and email from mopar. Com. ( fca recall # r06). We then contacted the dealership with the recall number and confirmed that this was an issue that needed to be taken care of. They took several months to locate an airbag and finally repair the orc module. Once the vehicle was ready for pick up, they did not exactly walk us through the vehicle and new parts installed. The Jeep was in poor condition; it was left outside, uncovered, and paint is now peeling. Seatbelts do not spring back, dash lights are dim and steering is screeching, engine light is on. This took a total of 8 months.
I have a safety recall that cannot be fixed according to tunkhannock auto mart and scranton Dodge. I'm experiencing all kind of malfunctions due to the sensor being bad I have no power, my shifting, fuel economy ,hard starts, everything. This is my only vehicle and I need a vehicle until this is resolved.

Driver's seat belt comes unbuckled for no reason. The driver's side seat belt disengages periodically. There seems to be no pattern to the occurrences . It happens while driving and while the vehicle is stationary. I am very diligent in making sure the belt is secure because I am aware of the problem. But, it still disengages without being touched.

It wouldn't let me click on multiple other options like the windshield. Snow blows through the front vent sometimes as I'm driving if I have it on regular heat or defrost. The breaks have always squeaked since I got the vehicle in 2018. I have to play with the seatbelt to get it to lock in place. The wheel sometimes turns on its own randomly to the left and the suspension is really off and bouncy.
The seatbelts have a trick I have to play with the drivers seatbelt to get it to click. The breaks have always squeaked and not stopped correctly the suspension feels off. The wheel turns to the left. I don't know about the airbags because I have yet to get into a wreck. The wheel turned to the left staring up my car after getting gas causing me to smash in my passenger drivers side door. Problems upon problems since I got the vehicle from four seasons auto in st. George utah. Busy now has damage the engine gets hot and smelly. Snow will literally blow through my defrost vents and hit me in the face with mists of snow.
The driver's side seatbelt comes unlatched while driving at any speed. It has become unlatched at stop signs and red lights. It does not make a difference if the car is in motion or not, the seatbelt comes unlatched . This started happening a few months ago.
Rear power window made cracking grinding noise and window failed to raise or lower.
Drivers side seat belt most of the time cannot latch close and at times it will unlock when driving vehicle. Mileage 48000 miles.
2003 Jeep Liberty. Consumer writes in regards to airbag system occupant restraint control, fuel tank, front suspension upper control arm ball joints and lower ball joints safety recall. The consumer was unaware of all the recalls before being sold the vehicle. The dealer would not assist with the repairs.
We were involved in an accident on the NY state thruway 87. The airbags did not deploy and the seatbelts did not engage. If the airbags had deployed my husband would not have been injured as seriously as he was.
All the lights stay on and wont go out the window will not go down or up.
My drivers side seat belt won't latch when stationary or in motion.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Jeep Liberty . The contact stated that the drivers side seat belt had started unlocking by the buckle coming open while the vehicle was in motion and the seat belt warning light illuminated with a chime each time the failure happened. The failure progressed after owning the vehicle for longer than 6 years more recently as of the past three months. A dealer had not inspected and diagnosed the failure yet. The manufacturer had not issued any seat belt recalls. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was waiting on a response from the manufacturer to determine the guidelines for a dealers repair. The vehicle was not repaired yet. The approximate failure mileage was 113,000. Dyd.

Driver's seatbelt latch won't engage/reset/click.
The seat belt does not consistently latch. Also, the seat belt comes unlatched while driving with the button untouched. As an example, the seat belt unlatches without touching the red button on the expressway at 70 mph.
1. Seat belt will not latch in rear driver seat to properly restrain child. Chrysler will not cover so child is being latch with a rear driver side shoulder belt connected to the middle seat latch. 2. Wheel speed sensor has been replaced twice, causes abs, esc and 4wd to stop working. This happens typically while driving either residential or highway roads, random times, temperatures and speeds. 3. Door lock actuator has stopped working for the forth time which prevents child safety lock from working. The door cannot lock/unlock other than manually compressing the lock from the inside of the door therefore I have to climb in the back seat to unlock the door or risk my child opening the door while driving. The other three door lock actuators have been replaced, not covered by warranty. 4. The clock loses a minute to two minutes a week. 5. When the car is in off position and keys removed from ignition, the vehicle has electrical surges through the console after sitting for several minutes. The battery has not been run down, I'm not sure where the power is coming from. 6. The vehicle started to lose power on highway and stopped shifting from park to drive, at 80,000 transmission work had to be performed to properly run without risk.

Drivers seat belt release will not lock seat belt. Belt releases with movement of driver. Vehicle has approx 77,000+ miles and normal wear/tear should not have caused seat belt to malfunction.
This vehicle was purchased new and has less than 140,000 miles. #1-it has corrosion on the outer body panels that is starting to go into the frame. The corrosion has caused numerous cuts, scrapes and damaged clothing as you get in and out of the vehicle. #2- I started smelling antifreeze but you couldn't see any leaks unless it was parked downhill so I took it to the shop for diagnosis. After several test they found it to be the head gasket. #3- I also have issues with the drivers side seat belt staying latched. You can be driving along and it will just release and it takes awhile to get it to latch back. #4-it wouldn't let me select the option to talk about the window regulators that just all of a sudden decide to work by themselves. I've had several people discuss these issues with me and I'd not seen any issues until lately, regardless of how significant anyone thinks these issues are I've worked in the auto industry long enough to know that the maker should stand behind their product regardless of the significance or age of vehicle.

When fueling, the gas tank sensor fails and causes the gas pump to not automatically stop and gas overflows. Luckily I was not standing too close when this happened. Also, upon stopping and ignition is off the seatbelt on the drivers side does not retract after unlatching and when getting out of the car the seatbelt gets stuck in the door.
Drivers seat belt latch wont latch anymore. If you look online there are tons of others that are having this same issue. If it is concerning my safety and my families safety it should have been on a recall list to get fixed.
The drivers seatbelt doesn't latch. It takes several attempts to get it to latch. Otherwise it pulls out and you think it's latched. This is extremely unsafe !!!.
