The vehicle could be restarted and resumed as normal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing and the transmission was replaced but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the transmission fluid and the filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.
