One problem related to transmission sensor has been reported for the 2008 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I'm able to put my 2008 Jeep Patriot in gears bit when I put it into drive my veichle won't move forward. Before this happens my thermostat transmission O2 heat sensor came on and was difficult to gain speed. I would have to pull over and shut my Jeep off and let it cool off before starring it back and was fine after the sensor went off.
