One problem related to engine exhaust system has been reported for the 2011 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was on a short trip when a car behind me frantically waved me to stop and informed me that my Jeep was on fire. The exhaust burnt a whole through the rear bumper and melted the bumper. I had no indication that this was happening.
