One problem related to mid/rear seats assembly has been reported for the 2014 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Patriot. While the vehicle was parked, the contact opened the driver side door and noticed that the rubber weatherstripping was loose. Upon further inspection of the interior of the vehicle, the contact noticed that the front passenger and driver side carpet was damp and mold was on the front driver and passenger seats as well as the rear seats and floorboards. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired approximately eleven months ago for the weatherstripping at columbia Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram fiat (106 s james campbell blvd, columbia, TN 38401 (931) 548-0109) under warranty. The dealer informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle again. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the weatherstripping would not be covered under warranty again because it was a maintenance failure. The contact also inquired about part availability for NHTSA campaign number: 16v668000 (seat belts, air bags) as he previously filed a complaint and was still waiting for parts. The contact was informed that owners would receive a second notice when remedy parts become available in August of 2017. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
