21 problems related to car stall have been reported for the 2015 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My Jeep Patriot will stall out on me unexpectedly while driving. I have had thousands of work done on it just for it to continue to happen. No shop has been able to figure out what is wrong due to no code showing up. It has been overheating on me and has been causing me to throw away a lot of money. I am very upset about this and the fact that there is nothing happening and all of these complaints is ridiculous!!.
~tl the contact owns a 2012 Jeep Patriot limited. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. 2015 Jeep Patriot had a problem starting two days prior to the event. It would not turn over while parked. After waiting five minutes, I turned the key again and it started. Then, two days later while driving about 60 mph on the freeway, the vehicle stalled while I was accelerating. For the next 20 seconds it oscillated between accelerating and coasting while I held my foot on the gas pedal. As I coasted towards an upcoming off-ramp, I lost power steering. Once I was off the freeway, I had to coast into a parking lot and had the vehicle towed to a Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram dealership. They ran their "diagnostic tests" and found nothing. They test drove the car for 10 miles and were unable to recreate the issues. They updated the pcm and tcm and ran their computer diagnostic tests again. Nothing was found. I feel incredibly unsafe driving my Jeep Patriot now. I escalated the issue to Chrysler customer care who was unable to do anything to help me until the problems are recreated and documented by a dealership. This is a known problem with Jeeps. 2016 Jeep Patriots were recalled for this very reason. Why is nothing being done about this?.

So I made a complaint about the same issue but today I have an actual engine code that was pulled up after being rear-ended due to the stalling. It's code p0335 and it's the crankshaft position sensor which is already recalled for the exact make and model in the 2016 version and needs to be recalled immediately for 2015 because if there are any complaints of stalls it's because of this issue. Until this issue is addressed to me and my kid and anyone else who has this problem and car is at risk.
The first time it stalled I was turning a corner onto a main street and it stalled. It did start right back up and ran. The next day I was stopped at a red light and it stalled. The very next red light it stalled again. Both times it started right back up again.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and lost steering ability. In addition, the electronic stability control warning indicator illuminated. The contact coasted the vehicle over to the shoulder. After approximately two minutes, the vehicle restarted and operated normally. The contact stated that the failure occurred four other times. The vehicle was driven to hendrix Jeep Chrysler fiat (543 n mcpherson church rd, fayetteville, nc 28303) where it was determined that the throttle body, spark plugs, and air filter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failures recurred twice after the repairs were performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired after the last failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.

This vehicle intermittently stalls. The vehicle stalled in multiple different conditions including slow driving and at highway speeds and on level or inclines/declines. The vehicle would be functioning properly and then completely stall and shut off which was very dangerous at highway speeds because there was a loss of power brakes and steering. There is a recall for this make and model for the year 2016 (safety recall s89 / NHTSA 16v-907 crankshaft camshaft sensor wire harness). This is the exact issue that is wrong with our vehicle, but it is a 2015 model year. The dealership did not fix the issue on our first repair visit and so we were put at safety risk again when the vehicle stalled until bringing it in a second time. This is a very dangerous situation and Jeep needs to address this issue.
My car is stalling while driving I have almost been hit several times I can not even drive it because it is unsafe - it has been happening for over one year and I am paying for a car I cant drive I have taken to dealership they have not fixed it.
I am seeing many similar complaints about this vehicle. My 2015 Jeep Patriot used to kick back while I was accelerating which developed into a stall after a couple of months. I took it to a shop and they gave me new spark plugs and cleaned my air intake valves in hopes that it would fix the issue. The car gives no warning or code to describe what is happening. For about a week there were no issues and then it stalled on me twice today and power steering goes out. I was stopped at a red light and accelerated once it turned green but it stalled before I could make it all the way through the intersection. I could barely steer out of the way of other vehicles, have to put my car in park and shut it off. Then I have to sit there for a couple minutes before restarting the car. This is a huge safety issue and I am afraid to drive my car especially during rush hour.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stuttered and failed to accelerate intermittently. In addition, the vehicle stalled without warning on most occasions and the electronic control warning indicator illuminated often. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to frank fletcher Dodge Chrysler Jeep (5922 warden rd, sherwood, ar 72120, (501) 436-0986) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000.
When driving down the road the vehicle will stall. The only indication I have that it has stalled or is going to stall is the rpm's drop to zero. I have taken it into the dealership and they ran diagnostics but can find nothing wrong. This has been happening almost everyday since the end of July beginning of August. It happens 2 or 3 times a day then nothing for a couple days and then starts up again. Thankfully this has not happened when I'm driving 65mph because I have no warning and the vehicle just stops, I can barely get pulled over to the side of the road.
Statrting on 23. May, 2018 my vehicle started randomly dying while driving. This is a complete loss of propulsion, the rpms drop to zero and the car completely stops running. The only way to get the vehicle moving again when it does start is to completely stop, place the vehicle in park and start the vehicle again. The vehicle has no preference or indication of when it is going to do this, so far it has died while pulling into traffic, driving down the freeway at 60 miles an hour, turning into a parking stall in a busy mall parking, while climbing hills and while going down hills. This information was given to fca along with the mileage which is roughly 37800 miles. I have been directed to pay out of my own pocket for diagnostics for this vehicle even though you may search Jeep Patriot forums. Com off of Chrysler website and you can find a list of similar complaints dating back as far as 2010 when Chrysler recalled nearly half a million vehicles for a very similar issue.
