One problem related to gas recirculation valve (egr valve) has been reported for the 2015 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was driving on a busy road and without any warning my Jeep just stalled. I lost all engine power, power steering and brakes. I pulled over to the side ofvthe road. I put car in park and turned the key to off position. Tried to restart and it would not, but continued to try to start by itself. Which in turn killed the battery. I had to have the car towed to the dealership. This happened today which is a Saturday and maybe they will get to look at it on Monday. This really scared me as I was almost rear ended. Thank god my daughter was not with me as it was only 5 degrees and snowing.
