Three problems related to transmission gear slipping have been reported for the 2015 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When you accelerate the transmission slips. It doesn't do it all the time but at least 50-60% of the time. It started under the warranty and I had a Dodge dealership look at it and they said they felt it slip but the road was wet so they couldn't say if it was the tranny or the tires slipping on the wet pavement. It has been slipping for the last year at least. After talking to other people who have these Patriots they said the same thing (transmission slipping). It does it during acceleration.
Transmission shutters and slips between 55 and 70mph. Feels like car is going to stall out, and does not accelerate correctly.
Takata recall there is a clunking noise in the front end while driving over bumps and the transmission is slipping while accelerating from a stop is when I notice it the mostly.
