Check Engine Light On problems of the 2015 Jeep Renegade

I will start this off by saying I've had a few problems with my 2015 Jeep Renegade including a/c problems, power outlets(back seat 110v outlet, cargo outlets & built in flashlight) shutting off after only a few minutes of usage. The blind spot assistance will randomly pop up when driving saying �blind spot assist is temporarily unavailable� the biggest one being what's happening now which is what I'll explain below but to inform you more I'll include that it had 96k when I got the truck and had always kind of had a jerky feel when shifting between gears which I read was kind of normal, so I didn't put much thought into it until now. My truck was sitting in my driveway for 2 days without being moved and when I went to leave the battery was dead. I hadn't left anything on, lights, radio, ect. It had happened a few times before but I didn't think much of it till now. So after I charge the battery long enough to get the vehicle started it finally fires up but all these messages come across the screen: check engine, service transmission, blind spot temporarily out of service, passageway entry unavailable, along with a few more. I give it a minute having the truck running to reset these things their selves and most do except a few. The check engine light was still on along with the biggest problem which is the service transmission warning that has the truck stuck in gear; it won't shift out of park. I tried disconnecting the battery terminals for about 20 minutes seeing if the software will reset that way but it didn't help still has the message on the screen. I eventually had to have it towed to a dealership for repair. They've had it 4 days now and I'm still not sure what the problem diagnosis is but am dreading this major issue.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the transmission was slipping with the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, while driving the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to empire lakewood Nissan (14707 w colfax Ave, lakewood, CO 80401, (303) 232-8881) where the dealer referred the contact to christopher's Dodge ram (16655 w colfax Ave, golden, CO 80401, (303) 238-7311) where the vehicle was towed to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the thermostat, four wheel drive switch, and module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 69,976.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 mph the check engine light illuminated on and off for approximately 2 weeks. The vehicle was taken to a dealer (riedman motors CO inc 610 n grand Ave, connersville, in 47331) for a diagnosis. The diagnosis was t0 reset the thermostat. However the failure reoccured. The contact also mentioned his 4wd does not work due to the failure thermostat. The manufacturer was not made aware of this issue. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000 tp.

This has been an on and off going issue. When the problem occurs, the check engine light comes on and then the car would stall in the middle of driving on the highway or streets. A warning appears on my dashboard saying to put my car in park in order to switch gears. Sometimes it puts me in neutral when I'm at a street light. I'd have to turn my car off and restart it in order to drive again but it keeps happening. Several times I try to take my car into the dealership and the check engine light would turn off and it would continue to work like normal until the next episode. It's been getting progressively worse and worse now.

Thermostat check engine light is on and need replacing and car has less than 54000 miles on it. . While car was in motion.

Driving on interstate when Jeep Renegade unexpectedly started to cut off. It felt like it was shaking and shuddering. Got off at exit and vehicle continued to act like it was going to cut off, especially when stopped at a light or stop sign or when making a turn after stopping. Made it home. Turned it off and then back on. Check engine light on. There was no advanced warning lights on the dashboard prior to the Jeep unexpectantly slowing down. There was no burning smell. I had the vehicle towed on Monday, August 20, 2018 to Jeep dealer in lewisburg, wv. They say it could be a week before they are able to look at it and I am without a vehicle. I wanted it taken to a virginia dealer who could look at it sooner but roadside assistance said the wv dealer was closer.

Ongoing issue, but today I got in my Jeep and once again my vehicle is showing the transmission and check engine lights, when I attempt to put it in gear it goes out of gear and into neutral. . On top of that I've been having issues where the power steering light will come on while I'm driving. Making it difficult to turn/ maintain vehicle control. I experienced problems such as the car �jumping hard into gear� as my husband puts it; along with it taking off really fast, it's also been sounding really loud and shaking when it reaches speeds upwards of 65 and refusing to change gears from time to time. . . However we have experienced a number of instances where the Jeep has changed its own gears starting only a few months after purchasing causing it to move into the porch and cause some cosmetic damage, this was our first recording of the issue. We took it in and they �updated the cpu� and it worked ok for a few weeks but has continually returned to having these faults and has only began to worsen. . Since then we've had to regularly go in for �updates� regarding the same issues and miscellaneous issues such as power locks/power windows not responding and the transmission overheating. . Just last year, literally 1 year and 1 day ago while getting on the interstate the car began to start its �death wobble� and drivers rear axel snapped, causing the front to follow. . My kids were in the car with me and while waiting 2 months to have fixed and paying the deductible for something that was Jeeps fault, here we are again having the same problems. . I have found several instances of others experiencing these issues and not only fear for my children's life�s, but also fear for the safety of others on the road. Can we fix these issues, or at least supply me with a viable vehicle??.
