Four problems related to wiring have been reported for the 2016 Jeep Renegade. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
All right rear lamps failed due to wiring hardness with center grounding wire burnt. Rear lamps are no longer functional. Also this would have cause a spark, enough in the right circumstances to cause a fire, and consider it a safety concern. Bulbs when out when out after replacing when out again this lead me to investigate and saw the burnt ground wire. I called the dealership and ask if any recalls and told me they would look at it and also charge 130 diagnostic charge . I believe you have a similair complaint on this issue. Please investigate.

The problem occurs without warning and present a possible safety issue is the case of an accident. In the event of an accident, the driver seat would be lock into a position locking the driver in the seat of the vehicle.
I am reporting a possible safety problem that has developed over recent months with my 2016 Jeep Renegade trailhawk 4x4. The vehicle has a recurring malfunction with the driver side seat electrical wiring assembly. The problem occurs intermittently after the seatbelt is properly secured and there is normal body movement in the driver seat while the vehicle is either in motion or stationary. The problem so far affects several of the electronic subsystems connected to the vehicle's driver seat. This malfunction has caused temporary or permanent disabling of the driver seat power controls, airbag system, electronic parking brake system and seatbelt warning system.
