Three problems related to other fuel system tank assembly have been reported for the 2017 Jeep Renegade. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Was on a highway doing about 67 mph and I felt a loss of power but still had my foot on the gas pedal. From there the Renegade started puttering and stalling. Had half a tank of gas. Almost felt like it was running out of gas.
It feels like my car is running out of gas while idling and when apply gas, I have a half a tank of gas.
Car was running fine until we stopped to get a little more gas at a circle k gas station. We had about a 4th of a tank left and added $10 of 87yr gas in and immediately after we got back on to the road the engine started bucking and lurching like it was trying to die on us. It did that the whole way driving home for 2 more hrs. Then the next day (today) it was doing the same thing but now the check engine light came on. We have a pretty good snow storm that hit us today and we wanted to switch the 4wd to snow but the lock light won't come on and it doesn't let you change to snow mode anymore. My husband thought maybe we just got some bad gas and decided to put a bottle of heet in the gas tank to see if it remove any water in the tank but it is still acting just as bad and the check engine light is still on.
