The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that the touch screen was inoperable. The vehicle was making calls without an application. The map was not working. While on a call, it would randomly hang up. The radio was inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the screen had delamination and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who was waiting on the diagnostic report, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
Original u connect system screen delamination! this is a big problem for many users on Jeep models 2018! because of this the system makes random calls from my contacts well I’m driving! I am driving 30 miles a day on the highway and this is becoming a safety issue! like me many people are waiting for a recall but nothing is coming since 2018!!! very dangerous when I am driving with my gps on and the radio calls people randomly and I have to hangs up on people every 5 seconds and then my contacts call me back and have to explain my situation! this is unacceptable! please help us ????.
