The contact daughter owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade latitude. The contact stated while her daughter was driving the vehicle, she was informed the front passenger seat belt was not engaged. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer where it was confirmed the seat belt buckle strap was inoperable and remains unrepaired due to availability of parts and cost. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 19v680000 (seatbelts). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
