The water line for the windshield washer reservoir running to back windshield is bundled with the electrical cables and is made out of plastic not rubber leaks inside car back passanger floor. I went online and noticed several people complaining about the same issue. Line is in a hard to reach place to replace, think manufacturer of vehicle should replace for using inferior parts and bundling it with electrical wires that my cause a short. Please investigate problem. A link to the problem [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Uconnect system/radio screen visually not working appropriately. Gets glitchy lines and will go black. Flip upside down. And blurr together. Screen will respond to touch even when not visually able to see anything. This will happen at random even when using back up cameras which is dangerous will go completely black when trying to use screen in any way. No damage to screen. Car is 2021 should not be having issues with screen already this is a safety hazard especially because using backup camera screen goes completely black.

The rear windshield wiper hose is known to leak in these due to a poor design choice. The entire contents of the windshield washer fluid reservoir empties into the passenger compartment (typically into the rear passenger floorboard). Not only is the fluid being near the passengers a concern, but the reservoir drains completely in a matter of hours. In a snowy environment, you are now unable to clear salt spray crust from the windshield, greatly reducing visibility. I had my mechanic verify this today, and there are countless reports online of people having this issue. The dealer will "fix" it, but they replace things with the same substandard parts that are prone to failure. The dealer needs to have a more permanent fix that uses an actual hose, rather than a plastic carrier that breaks easily.

The backup up camera screen stops working when the car is warm. The screen divides into three columns. As it warms up the columns fail. They become electronically distorted beyond recognition and eventually go black. This backup camera screen is also the touch screen that controls lots of functions of the vehicle. Defroster, climate controlls, radio, hands free phone usage, car settings for lights, horns, and much more. The car is available for inspection upon request. There is a large blind spot behind the vehicle when backing up. We only buy a car if it has a backup camera. We do not ever want to back over a child. The camera and viewing screen must work to help prevent this. On this vehicle it does not work. Unacceptable. We called the dealership. They are familiar with the problem. It happens to many Jeeps they said. They quoted us $1050 dollars to fix it. I went online and found that many people that had paid to have this repaired at the dealership, had the screens fail again soon after the repair. We have not had it repaired yet. Because we don't have confidence that Jeep has a viable solution yet. It has not been inspected by anyone yet. The problem starts to appear as a separation of the screen into three columns. One by one, those columns begin to fail. They fail rather quickly. As the vehicle gets warmer, the screen fails faster. Often the screen doesn't work at all when you first turn the car on. There have not been any warning signs or lights warning us of a failure. The failure started around August 2024. The vehicle had only 24500 miles.

The rear view camera was glitchy for a few years until finally becoming completely disabled due to the car play system malfunctioning. I have blind spots on each side of the back of my car that do not allow me to check for oncoming traffic when backing out. This also includes looking out for pedestrians. It has come to my attention that this may be a manufacturing issue as multiple clients have complained about similar issues.
My screen is not visible. Which doesnt allow me to use camera to reverse or backup with visibly seeing what behind through screen, which causes to be a hazard. Replacing will cause me tons of money that I dont have. Which mechanic stated there has been many Jeeps that has had same problem.
The infotainment/radio system in this 2021 Jeep Renegade has been malfunctioning for nearly two years. The dealership repeatedly states that no replacement parts are available and no repair can currently be performed. The system intermittently fails, freezes, reboots, or goes blank. When this occurs, the rear backup camera becomes unavailable or nonfunctional, creating a significant safety concern while reversing. The failure also makes it impossible to use the vehicle’s navigation system and disrupts the vehicle’s communication features, including hands-free cellular/bluetooth functions. This ongoing unresolved recall affects safe operation of the vehicle, driver visibility while backing up, and the usability and value of the vehicle. Despite repeated attempts to obtain repair service, the manufacturer/dealership has not provided a remedy due to lack of available parts for over two years.
The backup camera failed after being replaced one month ago. The safety of others is at risk because if I have a blind spot that the backup camera usually shows, I am at risk of accidentally hitting someone or something. It has not been inspected since it stopped working. The camera started lagging around two weeks ago which could have also put someone in danger.

Sometimes when I put the car in drive after I've reversed, the rear camera stays on while I'm driving forward.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that the vehicle windshield was defective. The contact stated that when driving at approximately 10mph a small rock hit the windshield and caused the windshield to fracture. The vehicle was taken to hendrick Chevrolet 1620 montgomery highway, hoover, al 35316 phone number (205) 994 -6473, for inspection. The dealer advised than an object hit the windshield and the windshield needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 9,000. Li.
My fog light has now caught fire and burned twice. The entire assembly has melted to pieces. This is a safety concern and can result in someone's vehicle burning to the ground and possible injury to someone. This is not ok that my fog lights are catching fire like they are doing that is from the manufacturer. I'm being held responsible for repairs also that's not ok as I'm not at fault for this occurring.
The driver and passenger visors have both lost the ability to stay flush with the ceiling of the vehicle. With the material of the cloth on the ceiling I have not been able to get any tape to safely secure the visor. The visual area that you are able to see out of the vehicle is greatly impaired. I was quote a $400-$500 repair from the dealership to fix one. When it originally happened to the passenger side. I have uploaded photos of the drivers side how it sits now, pushed forward, and it held flush with how it should stay. I was driving when t adjusted the visor and it lost tension.

The backup camera on my Jeep only works about 30% of the time when you put it into reverse. After searching the internet, it seems many people are having the same problem. . Read more...
The hose that holds the widow wiper fluid is made of cheap plastic and has cracked and leaks badly on the drivers side of the passengers section. I found a youtube video wher the exact same thing happened to someone else car. Same model same problem and can cause other water damage. I have a video.
The guide lines have disappeared on the reverse camera.

Tl-the contact oiwns a 2016 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph he lowered the back window. The air rused in and made a high pitched noise when it hit the roof of the vehicle. This issue caused the contact to get disoriented and dizzy. There had been many complaints online. The contact rolled the window back up and the noise went away . The contact even tried lowering the window alittle bit at a faster speed and the noise increased in volume with air getting into the headliner. The manufacturer stated that there was nothing that can be done and all vehicles had the same issue. They referred the contact back to the dealer and the dealer said there was also nothing they could do. The failure mileage was 20. 874. Tf.
Windshield wiper fluid leaking and is now leaking throughout the car. . It is leaking around the electrical wires in the front drivers side of the car under the carpet. Audio light on in car and also a lot of electrical problems on drivers side door.
The driver side sun visor doesn't stay up. This issue first happened about a year ago. I dealt with it for several months before finally buying a new one. Having replaced it once already, I knew this likely wasnt going to be a recall issue, even though thousands of people complain about in Jeep forums every year. Now, 4 months after replacing it, it has failed again. There are multiple things I dont like about this vehicle, but not being able to see out the windshield while driving because the visor is constantly falling down is a serious issue.
There's is no alternative to the windshield and Jeep has them on backorder since 2018. It's been over a month and Jeep cannot provide release date. This is a huge safety and visibility issue.
Windsheild cracks very easily I live in arizona all automobiles on the highway will have pebbles or small debris hit the windsheild. In the first week, I can tell by the sound but the smallest rock cracked my sheild. I took it in to hope the warranty would cover. They told me use my insurance and file a claim on the way home anther small rock hit my windsheild and I have anther crack. Ive owned many vehicles in arizona never hacve I have never seen a winshiled break so easily and if I get a claim submitted weekly my rates will go up. . . Eveytime I go for a carwash there is several Jeep Renegades there getting there rock chips replaced or fixed. . Im very disappointed there is not a recall or there not trying to fix the problem if I search online there is several people who. Complain on blogs. But Jeep refuses to admit theres an issue.
So I've had my 2018 Jeep Renegade for about approximately 9 months and about 2 months ago my radio started turning off and on by itself and this happens when driving and sometimes right when I turn the car on. And at the same time the windshield wipers sprayer that clean the windows stoped working and the bottle of windshield wiper fluid is filled and there's no rust or erosion on the hole where it sprays from.
Purchased vehicle new from dealer stock in patchogue, NY, with trailhawk trim. Had it a little over a month, and have less than 1000 miles on it. Within the 1st week the windshield cracked and dealer refused to replace it even though it had a wave in it at eye level. Have seen other complaints about this online. At same time, we noticed a problem with climate control and dealer couldn't get us in to look at it for about a month. What happens is after the car is shut off and temp is left at say 72 in all zones, often when you restart the vehicle later or the next day it is no longer set to 72 and may be blasting superhot air at 90 or jump to low ac or anything in between. Its a completely random temperature having nothing to do with outside air temp. Also, doesn't happen with every restart. This car has the auto climate control feature too, but the issue happens whether we leave it on auto or manual. We also checked to make sure no one was knocking into the control with legs or handbags etc. Dealer service manager says this is "just how Jeep manufactured it", and "the Jeep engineers deliberately want the temperature to be random because its not a priority". This is my third Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicle, and the problem has not happened in either of the other two, so that it sounds to me like just a dealer being lazy and not wanting to fix the problem. I also called Jeep customer care and got little help so far. However, it is clear to me no engineer would ever design a car to be so deliberately inconvenient and potentially dangerous where you have to spend the first few moments in your car fiddling with digital temperature controls. Ever car I have ever driven stores your last temperature and resumes that temperature when you return. Did I mention we are extremely dissatisfied with this vehicle as a result and have already told many friends to avoid Jeep. Terrible.
I have stalled about 6 times while in motion on city street. Usually shortly after leaving. At 3,500 miles, turned the corner, stalled again. Not a drop of oil in it with no leaking, no smoke, no check oil or engine lights. Dealer said this is "normal". Has stalled since while in motion, with enough oil in the engine.
Bought new 2018 Jeep Renegade. Traveling from panama city florida to a new duty station at ft. Bliss (el paso texas). At around 400 miles on the vehicle odometer, windshield started cracking. At around 1400 miles on vehicle odometer, transmission and engine failed 5 separate times while trying to get to a safe place to pull over. We were traveling west on interstate 10, posted speed limit 80 mph, approximately 4 foot of shoulder some areas, zero feet where guard rails were.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. Whether the vehicle was in reverse or at a stop light, it began to shake without warning. In addition, the front driver side window failed to close. The vehicle was taken to bravo Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of alhambra (located at 1100 w main st, alhambra, CA 91801, (626) 283-52120) where it was diagnosed that the window tint was the cause of the window failure, and the oil was at an unsafe level and needed to be cleaned. An oil consumption test was completed and the contact was informed that the oil was at an improper level. The vehicle was repaired, but the failures recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 3,570.
There appears to be a design flaw in the 2017 Jeep Renegade in that when the washer fluid is used, the fluid drains next to the air intake and a large amount of vapor is drawn into the main cabin. This was verified by a certified Jeep dealer. Washer solvent fluid can be poisonous and harmful if breathed in. The amount of vapor drawn into the cabin can be reduced by using the recirculate function, but some still leaks in and when driving in poor weather conditions, other vehicles throw salt and other debris on your windshield causing you to immediately use the fluid to clear the windshield and you have no choice but to breath harmful vapors in. In cold weather, if you set the recirculate function on so you won't breath the vapors, then the defrosters won't work and your windshield can fog or ice up. This is a health and/or driving safety issue that needs to be resolved or someone will get sick and/or hurt.
The windshield is plagued by millions of dense specks that significantly impair visibility, especially when a light source is shone at it. This presents a significant safety hazard while driving, as it makes it difficult to see the road and the traffic clearly. So far the component hasn’t been inspected, but making a quick search on the internet revealed that there is plenty on unsolved situations like this one with similar vehicles.
The windshields are made with poor quality glass. When you get a chip it spreads beyond repair in a day. I bought my vehicle brand new in Nov. Of 2016,in Jan 2017 had the windshields replaced. Got another rock chip last month and the windshield has to be replaced. I have only had this car 10 months and will be on my 3rd windshield. I have owned vehicles 32 yrs and never had to replace windshields this much. Rock chips don't normally spread quickly like they do on the Renegades. I thought it was just me but Renegade owners all over the u. S. Are experiencing the same problem. Someone is gonna have to die for Jeep to realize this problem. No car should need 3 windshields in 10 months.
My windshield chipped & cracked. The strange thing is the crack is on the inside behind the rear view mirror, not on the outside of the car. Which leads me to believe it wasn't a rock or stone that hit the wind shield but there must be a defect in the glass. I called Jeep & they won't acknowledge a defect unless you organization says so. I've read about other Renegade owners with the same issue online and Jeep won't do anything. Can you help?.
After 7 months and 7000 miles of ownership, the front windshield cracked. Driving in early Sunday morning city traffic a 24" crack developed across the windshield. The crack appears to start at the edge of the glass.
My car was stationary in the parking lot at my apt and the windshield cracked on the passenger side top right to the middle by the rear view mirror. Also just recently something hit the windshield and it has a large round shattered crack. The windshield seems to crack very easily.
My Jeep Renegade in 3 short months has had 4 different incidents of things flying up and breaking the windshield. The first three I was simply driving on the street I live on. No construction, no loose asphalt, and no debris in road. The last incident happened when a small bird hit the windshield and completely shattered the drivers side windshield.
While I was driving, my sunshade visor fell down as if it were moved to block the sun while I was driving (I did not do it). I immediately pushed it back up because I could not see, it blocked my entire front windshield vision. After pushing it up, it fell back down within minutes. I immediately took it out of the holder and put it to the side. After researching the issue it is a common known issue. Service advisors say "they all do that". My question is, why would such a dangerous issue be widely accepted? is increased chance of accident and death acceptable when it can be fixed? I have stopped 23 separate people and asked them about their sunvisor and every single one had this same issue (ranging from 2015 to 2020).
Windshield breaks easily when a small rock hits it while driving. We had to have the windshield replaced after only having the vehicle less than a month. We had to wait 2 months to get the windshield from the factory because there were 11 in front of us. (seems to be a problem. Why would so many windshields need to be replaced?). After replacing the windshield, in just one week, the same problem occurred. This was just driving down a regular interstate highway in st. Louis. We have had other rocks hit windshields on previous vehicles, and they often deflect off with no problem. The Jeep windshield seems to be more vertical, and when a small rock hits it, it hits it dead on and cracks the windshield. I have not had the last windshield replaced yet because I do not want my insurance rates to go up by making another claim within such a short period of time. When I researched this on line, it was discovered that many people are having same problem with the windshield breaking easily when hit by a rock. This seem to be a problem not only with the Renegade, but also the Jeep cherokee and Jeep wrangler.
