36 Wiper problem of the 2016 Jeep Renegade

Failure Date: 09/24/1916

Windshield breaks easily when a small rock hits it while driving. We had to have the windshield replaced after only having the vehicle less than a month. We had to wait 2 months to get the windshield from the factory because there were 11 in front of us. (seems to be a problem. Why would so many windshields need to be replaced?). After replacing the windshield, in just one week, the same problem occurred. This was just driving down a regular interstate highway in st. Louis. We have had other rocks hit windshields on previous vehicles, and they often deflect off with no problem. The Jeep windshield seems to be more vertical, and when a small rock hits it, it hits it dead on and cracks the windshield. I have not had the last windshield replaced yet because I do not want my insurance rates to go up by making another claim within such a short period of time. When I researched this on line, it was discovered that many people are having same problem with the windshield breaking easily when hit by a rock. This seem to be a problem not only with the Renegade, but also the Jeep cherokee and Jeep wrangler.
