Electrical System problem #1

Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wagoneer (base model) the vehicle has experienced ongoing and progressively worsening engine performance failures, specifically involving unstable rpm behavior and loss of power during idle and re-acceleration from idle. These defects have been present on multiple occasions and occur under normal operating conditions. While stopped at traffic signals or intersections, the vehicle frequently exhibits sudden and erratic rpm fluctuations, followed by a sharp drop in engine speed resulting in complete engine shutdown. These shutdown events have occurred both while the vehicle is in park and while actively positioned in traffic, creating a hazardous condition. In several instances, the engine stalled unexpectedly while the vehicle was stopped at a red light, requiring an immediate restart in an active traffic environment. In addition, when transitioning from an idle state to acceleration, the vehicle has demonstrated abrupt surging and jerking behavior, causing sudden forward movement. This creates a significant risk of unintended acceleration and near-collision events, particularly in congested traffic conditions or when stopped closely behind another vehicle. The vehicle was presented to an authorized Jeep dealership for inspection. The dealership advised that no diagnostic fault codes were present and no defect could be identified. However, during the dealer’s evaluation, the vehicle did stall while being allowed to roll into the service bay in an idle state, directly corroborating the reported condition. Despite this occurrence, no corrective repair was made, and the vehicle was returned without resolution. The frequency and severity of these symptoms have increased over time, resulting in a vehicle that is unreliable and unsafe to operate. The continued occurrence of engine shutdowns and erratic acceleration behavior presents a clear and ongoing safety risk to the driver, passengers, and surrounding motorists.

Electrical System problem #2

I am reporting a serious and unresolved safety defect involving a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer series ii 4x4 (VIN: [xxx] ) with approximately 34,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced repeated power steering warnings and functionality issues, and on multiple occasions (approximately three incidents) has unexpectedly shifted itself into park while actively driving. These incidents have occurred since fall 2025 and continued in January 2026 and now March 2026, demonstrating the issue is ongoing and recurring. The vehicle was in the dealership for over three weeks between January and February 2026, at which time a repair was confirmed before the most recent occurrence. Despite ongoing repairs, the issue has not been resolved and no permanent repair path has been identified. The vehicle is currently back at the dealership with no confirmed resolution. The most recent incident occurred on 3/18 when the vehicle shifted into park while in motion, requiring a restart in the roadway. Shortly after arriving at my destination, the battery died and the vehicle became inoperable and required towing. The combination of electrical issues, including power steering warnings and a dead battery, along with the vehicle unexpectedly shifting into park, creates a significant and unpredictable loss of drivability and presents a serious safety risk. Electrical System problem #3

I purchased car less than 24 hours ago. Service engine light is on. Dealership ran code and say it wasn't diagnosing a problem. And engine light went off. Drove for 3 hours and then engine light came back on. When I drove the car today, I came to a stop at a stoplight and when I went to go the car would not go. Looked down and my car had been gone into emergency parking. This issue was not disclosed to me when I purchased the car.

Electrical System problem #4

This is the 3rd time the Jeep wagooner has "bricked up. " the vehicle will shut off without notice and lose all power, the emergency brake comes on and stops vehicle abruptly. This poses safety risk to driver passengers and surrounding vehicles. The car will not be able to be restarted for 30 secs. Once car is restarted, dash lights flash everywhere and car loses power steering. This happen 1st time 2 weeks after I bought a brand new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. I took it to dealer and they told me it was defective battery. They replaced battery, it has now done it two more times. I took it to dealer again and they once again claim it was defective battery again. 2 defective batteries in 18 mos of new car? there is something else going on w/electrical system in this car that drains batteries and abruptly shuts off vehicle.

Electrical System problem #5

While making a left turn on a green left turn arrow the vehicle for no reason slammed on the brakes without any notice. Causing the car to come to a violent stop. And almost causing us to be rear ended. The violent stop caused both of us injuries to our backs and necks.

Electrical System problem #6

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in the garage for approximately 8 days, and upon returning to the vehicle, the contact noticed that the battery was fully drained. The contact was able to jumpstart the vehicle with assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was confirmed that it was a common issue for the battery to become drained, needing to be charged after the vehicle was parked and unused for several days. The dealer advised the contact to have a jump starter handy. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000.

Electrical System problem #7

This vehicle has presented a myriad of electrical problems as follows: 1. Glitching in the central display panel. Slow to turn on, flickers at times. 2. Alm (active lane management) system randomly and suddenly turning off. Often unable to turn the alm system back on while driving. The same issue with the adaptive cruise control system. 3. Vehicle sensors showing "unavailable" on the driver's display screen. 4. Vehicle was completely dead due to both batteries dying (main and auxillary) 5. Engine ran hot after a short period of time. Temperature reached as high as 253 degrees, then the engine overheating sign came on, followed by low oil pressure notification. Oil pressure dropped to at least 21 psi 6. There were no warning messages prior to any of these incidents occurring. 7. Auto emergency braking (aeb) would randomly engage for no apparent reason. 8. Alm unavailable service required message would randomly show up. 9. Front passenger screen would not come on, when the screen had seldomly been used. 10. The engine jumps every so often while driving. This is unrelated to the engine automatice stop feature when the vehicle is stopped. 11. A/c system is faulty. The "auto" button does not automatically adjuster the temperature or the fan speed when it is in use. I've had this issue since I purchased the vehicle. Reported to dealership more than once and it's still unresolved. 12. Driver's side window will remain stuck in the down position after window has been lowered. You have to turn the vehicle off and on for this to reset and window starts to operate again. Dealership cannot duplicate and this has happened more than once. 13. Stop/start not ready engine temperature too low message would randomly pop up at times. 14. When engine cranked, various dislay signs appeared on the driver's panel and would not allow me to use the brakes. 15. The vehicle has been in the shop since July 11th. No loaner vehicle was provided. Incidents cover various dates.

Electrical System problem #8

Without any warning my car will power off, then power on while I've been stopped at a light and getting ready to make a left turn. Incident has occurred on 3 separate occasions.

Electrical System problem #9

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while approaching a stop with his foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle shut off once slowed down to 1-3 mph. As a result of the failure, the contact was forced to restart the vehicle, with the power steering and check engine warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the pcm (powertrain control module) was reset, and the software was updated. Despite the repair, the contact stated that the failure returned immediately while driving the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 150.

Electrical System problem #10

Breaks, engine and transmission as well as radio and screen (electrical).

Electrical System problem #11

The vehicle is stalling. The vehicle has been to the dealership three times and they cannot figure out the issue. The vehicle has only been inspected by dealership. There was no warning lamps or message of this issue. The issues started two weeks after we purchased the vehicle.

Electrical System problem #12

Leaving for work this morning and reversed out of parking spot, tried to pull out onto a busy road and almost died. The car just kinda rolled forward a bit and would not accelerate or do anything! the ignition switch was blinking. I could not reverse or go forward or put it in park, the gear shifter lights were all blinking as well. I couldn’t shut the car off to restart it. I could not change gears or go anywhere but sit in the middle of an intersection with cars approaching me at a high rate of speed. It took approx 2 min for the car to do anything. It finally allowed me to shut it off and restart. Check engine light on. I reversed back into the parking lot I had exited from and drove it around to make sure I could accelerate onto this road where people do 70mph. I’m extremely lucky I did not get t-boned. I have read about this issue escalating to the car having this problem and told my dealership about this when I was having the check engine light issues mentioned below. I really do not feel safe in this car now after getting stuck in an intersection. Prior issue with Wagoneer, it’s been to the dealership at least 4x for this: bumps you back into park when you try to reverse and then the check engine light comes on. I have to shut the car off, open my door, restart, and then it’ll go into gear and check engine light remains on until I bring it in or sometimes after driving a bit it goes off itself. There was some known issue with possible problems with the transmission regulator valve so they switched that out and said that should take care of the issue. But check engine light on again. It now progressed into being completely disabled at an intersection today.

Electrical System problem #13

The second row easy entry keeps failing. The easy entry goes out and throws the seat forward. Person in seat has to force the seat down. Immediately after stopping and passenger getting out the seat is forced forward unable to latch until after shoving it back a few times. Warning on driver panel comes on to check second row seat. We have taking the car in twice and it continues to fail. Very unsatisfactory for a 85k vehicle. My children are afraid to sit in this seat due to it being unsafe and the seat belt being the only thing holding it down while in motion. Dealer said its a sensor that is going out. We are going on are third trip to the dealer. Would have been more but seams to reset itself every now and then. Forcing us to reschedule to maintenance visit.

Electrical System problem #14

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that the battery was constantly drained. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer several times for service; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer believed that the failure was caused by the key fob. The contact stated that the auxiliary battery was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

Electrical System problem #15

Unexplained and dangerous transmission issue resulting in stalling while driving at low speeds, electronic malfunction, and check engine light which first occurred on 7/23/24 when the vehicle had roughly 3,500 miles. Vehicle was with dealer service from July 24-August 15, 2024. During that time, repair was allegedly attempted twice and vehicle returned to me on 8/15/24 after allegedly a replacement part was installed from Jeep/Chrysler hq. Was told by the dealer service rep the issue was a known issue and other Wagoneers had been brought in with the same issue when I retrieved the vehicle. Dealer service could/would not confirm if issue was recreated but assume so since the vehicle was kept for so long. Sudden stalling and check engine light occurred again on 10/3/2024. Contacted dealer service on 10/3/2024; was told not to drive vehicle and a tow truck would be sent. Car towed to dealer on 10/4/2024 and returned again after alleged repair on 10/18. Issue occured again on 11/16. Have not brought it back to the dealer as I have filed for lemon law. Check engine light was on but went off a week later. On all three occasions, prior to the stalling and electrical malfunction, the car seems to be stuck in a low gear while driving and makes a grinding noise. The issue occurs when slowing down and has not happened at high speeds, luckily. Filing this with nhsta as I see there is also an investigation into 2022 model for same issue.

Electrical System problem #16

Vehicle is 4 months old and has 2300 miles on it. Randomly and suddenly the vehicle will lose power while in traffic. No steering or engine power. It will abruptly coast to a stop, put itself into park, and stall. Several lights will come on. All the lights but the check engine lights disappear after letting the car sit. The car sometimes turns over only to stall a few seconds later. If left to sit for 30 minutes or so, it will drive again. Obviously a car that shuts off and loses power while driving is a big safety issue. I am unsure if I should drive it again, in case it happens at the wrong time. This has happened on three occasions over the last 350 miles. 5/6/24 5/22/24 6/15/24 the vehicle has spent over thirty days at the dealer. They do not know how to fix it. On 6/15/ 24 one of the owners of the dealership was able to see the mechanical problems 1st hand.
