Fuel spray/overflow when refueling. This could be very dangerous! when refueling, there was significant blowback or a very heavy mist which saturated my shirt and pants with gas. Fuel then began to run down the side of my Jeep, onto the ground. This occurred simultaneously with the auto shutoff function of the pump.
When filling my completely stock Jeep Wrangler, fuel shoots out of the filler, even with the nozzle clicking off. It does it every single time I fill it up. I previously owned a 2005 Jeep Wrangler x and it did it on that one as well. If I don't remember it does this I end up wearing gas all over myself, not to mention it shoots out so violently it has almost splashed the cars on the other side of the gas pumps.
When puting fuel in the vehicle without using the hold open feature on the pump nozzle fuel sprayed out around the nozzle and ran down the side of the Jeep.

Overspill during refueling, every time. Fuel does not stop automatically and overflows (sprews) out onto side of vehicle, onto pavement and also onto driver's clothes. This has happened at numerous different gas stations and pumps. This presents a very dangerous situation and could result in serious injury or death is the fuel is ignited.
Just bought the Jeep late September and everytime I fill it the gas spills out all over me, the Jeep and the ground. Its not always reliable to guess when it is close to done so I tend to stand back so it misses me. Still gas goes everywhere which is a safety hazard. I have heard from other Jeep owners that this is a common problem, and the price to fix it has doubled. The Jeep dealer tells me that they cover the fix for 2007 and 2008 but not 2006. Really? why would that be?.
My 2006 Jeep Wrangler unlimited has just started having an issue where the gas spews out of the fill neck before the pump handle clicks off. This has happened the last 3 times I have filled up. This is at a station where I have filled up many times without incident. Not only does this get gas on my vehicle and person, this spills gas all over the pump handle and ground at the station. This is a major inconvienience to myself, damaging to my vehicles paint, and most importantly dangerous. I have read of a large number of individuals with this issue on their Jeep vehicles. I would expect Jeep would be responsible for correcting this issue due to the dangerous, wasteful, and simply unacceptable condition. For me personally, I don't expect that with 46k miles on my Jeep that this should happen, and be the responsibility of the owner to fix. I hope that there can be some action taken to hold Jeep responsible, and remedy this (common) issue. Thank you.

Spewed gas all over bare legs with hand on the nozel, this happens every time I put gas in. It also air locks /stops pumping even at low speed have to pull the filler and reinsert to get it to fill. . . Then close to the top but not all the way it pukes gas all over body have to stand off to the back of Jeep with hand holding handle every time I try to fill up have never had the gas gauge show all the way full. I bought the Jeep used less than 2 months ago and have read of similar problems with this year is there a recall???.
Everytime I fill up my Jeep Wrangler gas shoots out and spills all over my fender and ground, I have never had any car do this ever and I know it's a defect that Jeep is aware of and won't fix them under warranty which they should.
Everytime I fill up my car, gas spills over onto the side of my car, tire and ground, including over the pump handle itself and my hands. Very dangerous if there was a spark I would go up in flames with the car.

Fuel overflows and ejects from vehicle at every refueling. It cannot be controlled no matter how slow the rate of refuel. Often fuel will eject and splash onto the person refueling. Sometimes fuel will eject and splash into, or near the face.
Just purchased a 2006 Jeep Wrangler sport. All stock. When fueling the vehicle, once the fuel is almost full or to the point of full, the fuel shoots out of the fuel inlet. Also, it does not trip the fuel shut off on the dispenser quick enough.

When refilling my Jeep with gas it occasionally overflows. I didn't know if it was a pump or Jeep issue until I started hearing more people having the issue and realized it was a Jeep issue and not a pump issue. I understand that the 2007-2008s have a TSB and djc will fix for free, but my Jeep is a 2006 and has this problem and I am not covered. I would like the TSB to include all Jeeps.

Almost always get a "splash back" when fueling vehicle as gas station! very hard to listen and decipher if full, I try to guess how many gallons I need to fill up. Spills out gas on the vehicle, on the ground, and on your feet! I have read that many of these vehicles are having the same complaint, without a recall, and it is not the gas pumps problem.

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler that is shooting gasoline out of it after it is filled up with gas. Basically, after the fueling is complete and the pump clicks off, gasoline shoots out of the filler neck and all over the side of the car, the ground, and the pump. It is only a matter of time until this defect causes a fire at a station or gets somebody killed. Jeep is refusing to repair this problem. There are quite a few Jeep owners who are reporting this same problem.

My 06 Jeep Wrangler rubicon over flows gas at the pump before the pump clicks off. This will be as I am manually fueling (hand still on pump handle). Comes gushing out causing fuel to be spilt, gas on paint, and the smell of gasoline on clothes when highly pressurized.

Every time I fill up my 2006 Jeep Wrangler unlimited gas comes spilling back out as the pump cuts off. This started happening this fall and has continued every since. Fuel gets all over the side of the Jeep, the ground and when not standing clear on my clothes and shoes. This needs to be investigated before someone gets hurt.
