Steering Failed problems of the 2008 Jeep Wrangler

Two problems related to steering failed have been reported for the 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Steering Failed problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2012

While driving at highway speeds, when a pothole or bump is hit by the vehicle, the tires begin to wobble out of control. This causes the steering to fail and violently shake the steering wheel. While coming off or on highway ramps the wobble causes the vehicle to veer off the road.

2 Steering Failed problem

Failure Date: 06/10/2010

Jeep experienced violent shaking of the front wheels when driven over rough surface/terrain at speeds above 30 m. P. H. . ; owner had difficulty duplicating this anomility for Jeep repair service, but was able to duplicate it via a test drive with Jeep service representative; Jeep service determined that the steering stabilizer had failed, which was replaced under warrenty; after ~16 months, this same anomily returned & now the steering stabilizer needs to be replaced again; after another Jeep owner told me he had the same problem, it seems that certain Jeeps have faulty steering stabilizers; this is a very dangerous situation which could result in a crash/wreck & loss of life.
