In March 2015 the bas esp (traction control and stability light)warning light came on. It stayed on for several miles and then went off. This happened numerous times. On April 23, 2025 parker automotive service center removed the steering wheel and replaced the clockspring. In may the bas esp again came on, parker automotive recalibrated the clockspring which has the steering angle sensory built in. In Aug 2025 the bas esp light again came on and on August 14, 2025 parker automotive replaced the clockspring under warranty. In September 2025 the bas esp came on again. On October 2 2025 parker automotive found a safety recall m31/NHTSA 13v-176 airbag system clockspring and advised me to go to the Jeep dealer. Which I did and was told my vehicle was not among the recalled ones. Research shows that m31/NHTSA was replaced by s40/NHTSA. My records show that I “paid” larry h. Miller Chrysler Jeep tucson to replace the clockspring-steering column controls ten years ago on October 22, 2015. It is concerning that when the bas esp warning light is on the airbag will not deploy. Does the recall need to be expanded to include additional vehicles? the clockspring in my vehicle has been replaced now 3 times.
Airbag, brakes, traction control inoperative with c2200-00 code for internal brake control fault. Vehicle has 58k miles garage kept, now has no safety components working. It is a known problem apparently all over the internet. Why isn't this being addressed.
Code c2116 - abs pump motor supply low. This error code has been occurring for the past year. I have no abs brake function, no air bag function, and no traction control function. The part from Jeep Chrysler, abs module, has been on back order for 1 year. I believe it is dangerous for me to be driving this vehicle. One year on back order, please do something and help.

This vehicle was recalled in 2016 for defective airbag clock spring replacement and I had the recall work done in early 2017. In June of 2021, the airbag warning lamp came on and a scan showed that the airbag clock spring (which had been replaced under the recall in 2017) was defective. I took the vehicle to the local Jeep/Chrysler dealer and was told that they only warranty recall related parts for 2 years, which had already expired, and that I was responsible for full payment to get the clock spring replaced. It is incomprehensible to me that an official NHTSA recall that resulted in replacing a supposedly defective part with another part that proved defective would not be covered by the original recall at Jeep/chryslers expense. Serious injury or death could occur to myself and other passengers if the airbags are not properly deployed in a collision. An additional recall should be issued for owners of all Jeep vehicles that had a defective part replaced with another defective part.
Dealer is unable to provide me with a courtesy vehicle during the recall work and the recall takes several days to complete. Forcing me to pay for a rental vehicle during the recall repair is a cost to me to get the recall corrected.
My reverse went out on my 42rle automatic transmission in my Wrangler and I looked it up and supposedly this issue is extremely common. Like story after story after story after story after story. This transmission had a recall in its early days where it wouldn't go into park and people were crashing they fixed that but ever since this transmission came out according to google. People have had this problem and it shouldn't just go out like that. The vehicle was stopped and I was backing out of a parking space. Well I was trying until I realized that I wasn't going anywhere so I had to drive over the little hump things. But my reverse lights and everything come on but my engine just revs. And everyone I've asked from people in new orleans Jeep club to looking it up on google either has this problem or had this problem or knows someone who either has or had this problem.

Takata recall. On Sunday August 18th 2019 at 4:30 pm a phone call was placed to brooklyn Chrysler/Jeep at 718 713 3000 to confirm an appointment for an airbag recall made through the national hotline. Upon contacting the service department, I was told that the national recall center did not appropriately schedule the airbag repair, and made my appointment for an "oil change. " I was also told that scheduling errors are frequent from your office and that they do not currently have replacement air bag parts in stock. I was told that Chrysler only sends out "two or three" airbag recall parts at a time and that they are given out on a first come, first served basis. She stated there is no current procedure for assigning service to a particular customer at a particular time, and that I should try back every few weeks. This haphazard handling, if true, begs the question of why your office would spend as much time as it does sending out mailings for any fix, yet so little effort to streamline the administrative end to be more effective. I will continue to try to made this "potentially deadly" repair, but someone can coordinate better with the dealership.
There has still been no remedy to the takata airbag which can explode under extreme humidity.
S33 recall was established in may 2016, but all the dealers I contact state that the recall parts are not available. My Jeep was inspected by a Jeep dealer, but no parts available. Meanwhile, my daughter still drives this Jeep which could potentially be unsafe. I want my Jeep fixed under recall s33, but without the manufacturer providing parts to complete the recall, I am left driving a potentially unsafe vehicle due to the air bag clockspring defect.
Takata recall dealers in dfw area stated they do not have the replacement parts nor do they know when or if they will receive them. This is totally unacceptable!.

Takata recall. I contacted the dealer, family Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram in philadelphia, about fca recall # s33 (NHTSA recall # 16v-290) and was told that parts are not available. I am aware of the parts issue with fca recall # s43 / NHTSA # 16v-352 not being available. I tried to explain to the service person that I was referring to fca recall # s33 (NHTSA recall # 16v-290); however, she was adamant that parts were not available and that I would receive a notice when they were.

Takata recall-------- ok--I received a recall on the airbags months ago. . . . In the recall it states that this problem is a "serious threat to your and your passengers safety" and should be remedied ASAP. . . . . . "it could result in death. . " called my dealer again today to see if I can get it fixed. . I was told by the dealer the parts are still not available and the latest he has heard is months if not years away from either a fix or getting the parts. . . . . . . . What is NHTSA's position on this?? just drive the car and continue to take a chance that the problem will not occur. . ?? if it does and kills my grandson???? is anybody at NHTSA looking into this and do you have any power to force this company to produce a remedy to perhaps save some lives???? could it truly be months and months away from a fix????.
Jeep Wrangler jk is required to replace clockspring due to dust that could compromise airbag circut causing potential non-deployment of the driver airbag. Currently, the Jeep is available for inspection. Non deployment of the airbag can cause bodily harm or life threating injuries that put at risk driver and others. Jeep owner bring multiple times the vehicle to the dealership but they didn't have part available and never is been fixed. The vehicle has been inspected from multiple technicians at differents dealership. Airbag warning is showing in the dashboard of the vehicle since 2016.

"takata recall" s43/NHTSA 16v-352 received this notice of recall in July 2016. Called dealer who indicated parts were being manufactured and would take about 2 months to receive. September 2016, called dealer and the timeline for parts is maybe next year. Called fiat Chrysler automobiles (fca) in July and again in September. They have no timeline for the parts to arrive. They have no options to give us except for driving the Jeep at our own risk or park it. The fca recording and the person with whom we spoke are passing the buck. . . There is nothing we can do. It appears to be more of a disclaimer. We were told that there have not been too many incidents with these takata air bags and no deaths. This is contrary to the national news and reason for the recall.
''takata recall'' defective tpm, almost coused me to have an accident while driving in mexico during my vacation the lights went out whle doing 75 miles per hour. . . . Took it to mechanic and it has a bad tipm module.

Takata airbag recall letter and also the clockspring recall on my Jeep needs to be fixed and the defective airbag is on the passenger side so I can not even have passengers in it please fix the clockspring and advise on the airbag.
"takata recall" (2 recalls). Received the recall notice. On the 2nd paragraph it states that this condition could cause serious injury or death. It doesn't get much worse then death. However, we still have to operate these vehicles knowing that it's a risk to our health and safety. Nhtsa should be ashamed of themselves. I called Chrysler and spoke to a rep. I told him my concern and he explained that parts may not be available until early 2017. I told him this call was to inform him of my concern and that god forbid something happens that I would own Chrysler and will file a suit against NHTSA. Allowing drivers to operate vehicles with known safety defects is a crime. I inform you today basically notifying you that I'm on record and that my attorney has been directed to do the same.

The passenger side from air bag was issued a recall on July of 2016. They also said to avoid using that seat. The fix is still not available and I think that is an unreasonable amount of time to limit my use of the vehicle. There are only 4 seats total. I think you need to "get on" Jeep about this unreasonable safety recall delay.
