Fog Light Switch problems of the 2010 Jeep Wrangler

Three problems related to fog light switch have been reported for the 2010 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2019

Headlights will not turn off while driving down the road. Fog lights work, but headlights and high beams shut off completely. Then randomly will turn on. This can last for days or even months. Then it happens again.

2 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2016

The vehicle headlights will randomly cut off while driving. The headlight issue effects both headlights and fog lights and will stay out for seconds and on several occasions require several minutes before coming back on both while stationary and while driving. I had the switch on the steering column replaced which did not correct the issue. The problem has been diagnosed to the fuse box. The headlights cutting out is a major concern and when I called Jeep for a price they had it in stock which would indicate this is a known and normal issue.

3 Fog Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 10/24/2013

The headlights of the Jeep spiratically go off. You just never know when they will work. Sometimes when you start the car up they won't work, but the most dangerous is when they go off when you are driving at night and have no idea that they have shut off. The high beams won't work when this happens, but the parking and fog lights can be used as some kind of back up.
