Three problems related to windshield have been reported for the 2010 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I have owned the vehicle for 7 months. I have had to replace the windshield several times due to cracks. The windshields are spaced to thin and are weak.
One day after purchasing a brand new 2010 Jeep Wrangler 2 door, the windshield began to crack from the bottom of the windshield. There was not a rock chip and no other obvious signs of anything that would cause a windshield to crack. The dealership has stated that they will not cover it and it is not their problem. After researching this, it seems to be a common problem that Chrysler refuses to remedy.
The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated the vehicle was equipped in a manner in which the roof and doors could be removed from the vehicle during warm weather. When the roof and doors were removed, the side view mirrors were repositioned to mount onto the front windshield support frame. The contact stated that when the mirrors were mounted in this position, the view in the passenger side mirror was obstructed by approximately 85 percent, reducing visibility while driving at any speed. The manufacturer was notified and the contact was told there was no repair available for the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 2,000 and the current mileage was 11,000.
