Failure Date: 10/08/2024

Airbag light stays on and beeps very loudly. Will not turn off.

5 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 03/04/2024

The steering wheel clock spring has gone bad leaving no power to the electronics of the steering wheel making me question if the driver airbag works at all now. My passenger air bag is a bomb according to that recall and my driver is now faulty because of clock spring if I get in a wreck I'd be seriously injured or dead. Do better Jeep.

6 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/06/2024

Airbag light is on dealer put clockspring in and still on dealer said there was a recall on 2011 Jeep Wrangler but only right handed vehicles and mine is left handed.

7 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2023

We have been dealing with electrical issues with our Jeep for a few years now. About 2 months ago, the airbag light turned on the dash, along with the seatbelt light (although I am buckled in). I have now found that there are up to 6 recalls on the airbag malfunctioning, but have never receive a recall or mention of this kind of malfunction when buying the car. How can I get this corrected? this car will not keep us safe, better yet pass an inspection with this manufacture's malfunction.

8 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2023

(1) since October, I have had airbag failure in my Wrangler rubicon. The failure is the 2nd time for the same defective parts. Jeep has failed to repair/replace the parts. I've been waiting for two months. I cannot drive with no airbags. It's a death sentence and suicide to drive without airbags. There is a recall on this same defect issue, yet Jeep has continued to ignore this issue. (2) Jeep repaired a recall on my sidemirror defrosters a few years ago. After their repair, the defroster never worked again. (3) my heated seats failed to work, due to known defects. I've been without the deated seats for more than 2 years now! Jeep refuses to fix their defects.

9 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2023

My airbag light has been on and off but mostly on for months. After searching online I see that there's been hundreds of thousands of recalls for the exact part that had malfunctioned according the dealership and I will still have to pay for diagnosis, parts, and service, out of pocket.

10 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/11/2023

I have airbag failure. I had it diagnosed by a local mechanic. My Jeep had airbag failure in the past and the repair was done by Jeep. Jeep refused to pay for it, although the same year of Wrangler was recalled for the airbag failures. They returned my money almost 2 yrs later. The current code is b1b02 (clockspring). In addition to my airbag light being on, due to failure (defect), my other gauges are not working properly (gasoline etc. ) and the electronics will not work now (buttons on steering wheel for cruise control, radio, trip/mileage etc. Jeep dealerships in illinois have repeatedly stolen parts off my Jeep Wrangler rubicon, as it is a "special edition" black ops package. I have also caught a Jeep technician draining my coolant, which he spilled all over my radiator, in an attempt to tell me I had a "leak" and all the coolant is gone. He tried to "bend" my waterpump (in front of me) and I demanded he return my keys & I left. I've run out of reputable dealerships to take my Jeep. Please help! I have a disabled child who rides with me & I cannot be without airbags. Since day of purchase, this Jeep has been riddled with known defects. The local mechanic told me there was a recall. Jeep has not notified me of recalls or any information in several years, as a result of my complaints to the manufacturer's administrators about the continuous theft and fraud by their dealerships and the defects in my Jeep.

11 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/29/2023

The clutch. I was driving down the freeway and the clutch went out. Yes, champion Jeep Dodge confirm the clutch system went out. Yes, I was told they do not cover the clutch. There was no one he signed symptoms or problems. I did take it back to autonation on 2 other occasion complaining about the brakes and the emergency. I have had this vehicle less than 7 months and had nothing but problems. I paid auto nation $6,500 for this lemon vehicle & purchase the extend warranty plus, because I was told if anything breaks down with this vehicle, I would be covered bumper to bumper on this vehicle within the 2-year time period, under this extended warranty plus. Todd told me it would cover everything under the warranty and specifically the clutch, transmission, motor & electronics. My brother asked todd several times precisely about the clutch and was told yes with the extended warranty plus, it covers everything major on this vehicle. With the extended warranties plus, you are covered bumper to bumper, this is the most comprehensive coverage. Now, I am asking you to put me in another vehicle until you get this figured out. I am requesting auto nation to get me in another vehicle, because I believe this is a lemon vehicle and I am tired of all the problems with this truck. If you can assure me that y'all is going to handle this ongoing problem with my Jeep. This Jeep was at delta world tire June 13 – 19 and then I transferred to champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep on the 19th of June waiting for approval. Auto nation extended warranty denied claim on vehicle (denial reason for the case 35270572). Delta world tire was the preferred shop but was behind in workload and short on mechanics. So, I had to tow it to champion Jeep Dodge. So please let me know how much longer it is going to take to decide what you all going to do about the lemon vehicle you sold me and when to come over to mobile and pick up another vehicle. I anticipate and answer immediately! I have a letter I wrote.

14 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2023

I have a bad clockspring in my Jeep Wrangler causing my airbag indicator to come on.

15 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2023

Air bag light on check engine light on diagnosis says clock spring is bad passenger airbag may deploy or may not deploy. Chrysler refuses to make repairs claiming my VIN number doesn’t show any recalls for the driver side just the passenger side which was repaired.

16 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/09/2023

Air bag lights on traction control light on the clock spring is bad dealer won't fix is dispite recalling a haft million Jeeps.

17 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/25/2022

The airbag light is on. I believe it is caused by a faulty clock spring that is dirty/ dusty from driving. There are recalls for other 2011 Jeep Wranglers but it appears that my vehicle is not part of it.

18 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2022

Air bag warning light will intermittently come on and chime a warning signal, then stay on. I am concerned that the air bag will not deploy if there is an accident.

19 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2022

Airbag warning lights and chimes go off dozens of times a day as the steering wheel moves slightly off center. I am guessing that the airbag will not deploy during these warning times. This is a safety issue. I have read that it is a common clockspring issue. . . . . But lhd vehicles are omitted? what are you doing about it?.

20 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2021

Driver side airbag light and sound indicator continually goes on and off. Dealer states that there is no recall for my VIN number and will not entertain fixing unless I pay out of pocket. There was a recall for the rhd models during this year, how were the left hand models not included in this? I’ve read numerous complaints of Jeeps with the same issue post 2010 models. This is a safety issue and should be addressed by the manufacturer/dealer.

21 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 07/28/2021

Clockspring is bad. Right hand drive vehicles have recall, left hand doesn't. How is it different because if the problem is dust and/or moisture and the clocksprings are the same it effects both sides of the passenger compartment.

22 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2021

When braking since these lights are on it will cause issue with the brakes themselves as if they don’t want to brake fully. Now I’m a 32 year old man and am aware of making sure your brakes are good and fully functioning. I’ve noticed also the steering when slowing down too from this. Nothing underneath the vehicle is an issue for steering. All steering components are fully functioning. I’ve noticed issues with the clock spring in the Jeep as well. Sometime it comes and goes (most likely and electoral problem) geez who knew! haha, however when I’m turning the airbag light will stay on then go off and the lights on the steering wheel themselves with turn off. They’ve been off for awhile now. Since this is happening on a daily basis. When owing down it’s cause a very big issue for me because it will make the Jeep want to turn in any direction it may feel and sometimes that direction is in another lane mostly on coming traffic! I have not had the Jeep looked at by a dealer but has been by a mechanic with a $3000 scanner and he still has the codes stored for me. No and no.

23 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2020

24 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/09/2020

First my horn stopped working then the buttons on the steering wheel quit working then the radio started getting all static but at first when radio started being static the cd player still worked and then the cd player would play intermittenly and not a sound in radio mode now now cd , no radio, no steering wheel button and no horn. The cruise control light comes on if the button is pressed but that is it. It is important to have a working horn safety!!! I was told it is the clockspring going out and causing all these issues and causeing the amplifier to fail and the stereo malfunction and needing to be replaced. Costing a couple thousand dollars.

25 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 11/04/2019

So they (mopar/Jeep) have had this Jeep clock spring recall issue for a while now. . . We have had it replaced twice now under the recall and it is still doing the exact same thing. . . So the recall fix was nothing but a sham. . . It did not fix the problem and the problem still persists and I am not fixing it for a third time when the solution they came up with for the recall is not a solution it just masks the problem for a little while. . . So now once again the clock spring is out in it and I am at my wits end with it!.

26 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2019

During the evening of October 16, 2019 while driving on interstate highway 84 near the eagle road exit 46 with my 5 year old grandson, my Jeep had a catastrophic electrical failure. I could not get the turn signals, headlights, windshield wipers, or horn to work. Later I learned that at least the drivers air bag was also inoperable. The next morning my local Jeep dealer (larry h miller, boise, id) diagnosed the problem as a failure of the clock spring the service manager called me and said that due to the ongoing recall of certain right hand drive Jeep Wranglers (NHTSA campaign numbers:16v288000, 13v176000, and 11v528000, all involving the clock spring) a new, redesigned, clock spring is not available for non-recalled vehicles. He to install at my epense a new clock spring, but of the old design, which would eventually fail.

27 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2019

I spoke to brown's Ford in patchogue at 8:58am as well as riverhead Chrysler 9:30am today to bring the Jeep in for the airbag recall. They informed me they do not have the parts for the airbag propellant recall and do not have a date for arrival only to say most likely July. They would take my info and call once the parts are in. I believe this recall is a very important one that needs to be done ASAP, not a month or two from now.

28 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/21/2019

I am not able to get the air bag recall done due to the fact that I no longer have the stock stereo.

29 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2019

Air bag clock spring does not work. It is a safety hazard. . . . Airbags, horn and cruise control, will not work without this part. In texas, it will not pass inspection. This is a safety issue and needs to be advised to becoming a recall for Jeep Wranglers that were build in the same plant as mine Jeep.

35 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/08/2018

Takata recall - bought my vehicle, no light was ever on. About 4 months after purchasing vehicle till present - airbags light comes on with dings, stays on. Electrical is failing, can't seem to find the reason for the electrical malfunctions. Cruise and trac control kick on and off whenever they want to, that has been scary (moving all 4 times, 4 on interstate, 1 as I was turning a sharp turn after I had slowed). In the date slot below, I will put the 1st known time it happened to me, as there has been several.
