Takata recall this recall has been in effect for months/almost a year. I have been trying to trade in my vehicle and am getting incredibly low trade in offers due to this outstanding recall. Dealerships are noting that they cannot resale these vehicles on recall thus the low trade in value. I need to trade it in the next month but will lose at lease 2000 bucks in value. I either want a 2000 check for this or for the recall to be fixed or promise a value to any and all dealerships who honor the full trade in value.

The clocksping on the drivers side needs to be replaced. There is a recall for this item in earlier model Jeeps but not on my year. I have found out through the dealer that it is the same part and same number. I would like my year Jeep to be encluded in the recall for this part because it is the same part.
Takata recall. I ran my VIN through mopar and was advised my vehicle qualifies for this recall and that I live in a tier 1 or tier a area. But that there was no fix. What's being investigated as the most recent death related to this recall took place in the city I work in and has a somewhat milder weather than where I live. Just this week we've gone from 60 degree to 100 degree weather. It's common to reach 115 degrees in the summer. Is there bo option for me to fix my vehicle? I have a loan on it. I'm not comfortable driving it and putting my family at risk. So in the meantime I have to park it, find different transportation, and still pay my loan? there has to be an option for me to resolve this and not wait until mopar finds a fix and hopefully notifies me via phone as I've requested. If there is a known issue, and I have an at risk vehicle, being operated in an at risk area, there is no way I should be asked to still drive it and put my family at risk until mopar decides they have a remedy.
The manufacturer of my vehicle, fca has issued a number of recalls eg s33 covering Jeepwranglers built 2007-2010 and recently s40 covering only right hand drive Jeeps built 2022-2016. These recalls are for clock spring failures resulting in compromised airbag circuits which will not deploy. The clock spring fails because dust gets in it. My Jeep is a 2012 Wrangler with about 10,000 miles on it has had this failure. It has been driven extensively without windows in the desert. I have discussed this problem with fca without success . What is my recourse???.
Takata recall - this is a severe and dangerous condition that should have already been corrected. I am very dissatisfied and upset with the alleged "unavailability" of repair parts that has been stated for far too long. I need this dangerous defect repaired immediately.

Takata recall, we are very upset at Chrysler that they do not have a fix for the Jeep Wrangler passenger airbag issue. . This vehicle is driven by our daughter for school and her carpool. She is without a car as of right now because we do not feel it is safe for her to drive at this time. We have called many times and get the run around from our local dealer service department and Chrysler itself. They should have a fix for the problem. We need a car to drive. We bought our Jeep out right and now can't even trade it in to get her a Jeep she can drive due to this air bag recall. Someone needs to get this situation under control and fix all the effected vehicles. We have a car sitting in our driveway now for 2 months that can not be driven.

The clock spring has was replaced once at partial cost to me. It is now out again. Now the traction control light is on, and it affects the way I'm driving.
After driving some national forest gravel roads in the blue mountains in washington state, my air bag dash board indicating light turned on. I made an appointment with the local Jeep dealer. They did a diagnostic eamination of the car and determined that the car's tipm computer had failed internally and was no longer supplying power to the airbags and that the air bags would not function. They said I needed a new tipm and quoted me a price of about $1,400. I did a quick google search and discovered other people had also experienced early tipm computer failures. Failure of tipm is a safety issue if it disables the air bag system as has happened on my Jeep.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. While driving various speeds, the occupant restraint control light illuminated on the instrument panel. The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clock spring was failing and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v288000 (air bags). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 701,168.

I took my vehicle to my dealer, and I was told the clock spring needed to be replaced. It cost me nearly $500 to do this. Eleven months later, it failed and needed to be replaced again. I have receipts from the dealership for both of these situations. I use this vehicle to deliver mail for the us postal service. Coworkers that have right hand drive Jeep Wranglers have been included in the recall to replace this part without charge to them. Although my vehicle is a left hand drive, I have exactly the same part of my vehicle that is failing. I maintain that I absolutely should be included in this recall. It is a safety hazard to me to not have a functioning horn on this vehicle, and I should not have to keep paying for this since it is a known defect.

One morning the controls, horn, & I'm assuming, airbag stopped working (no lights or functionality). Just noticed the first time going out for the day. The removable hard top panels where off, and some dew was present in the air earlier that morning. . . . But it's a Jeep. The horn honked from the steering wheel once and then no more. It does still work when locking the doors and such remotely.
10/17/12- steering column shutters, horn pads loose- dealer retorqued bolts to horn pad and driver's air bag. 1/4/12- brake/steering concern; steering wheel has excessive play, excessive pull to right- dealer checked and adjusted alignment, vehicle steering continued to drift; dealer rotated front tires. 4/14/12- dead battery, vehicle towed to dealer, battery failed midtronics test, dealer replaced battery. 4/16/12- front brakes squealing; dealer scuffed and cleaned pads and rotors. 4/28/12- engine light activated; dealer identified #2 cylinder misfire, dealer re-programmed pcm with new update software per tech service bulletin 18-007-12. 5/31/12- engine light activated again; dealer identified low compression cylinder #2 misfire, exhaust valves leaking, replaced left cylinder head per star case #327244. Rental vehicle 2 days. 6/15/12- engine light activated again, steering pulls to right again; dealer identified bank 2 camshaft slow response, replaced both exhaust camshaft phasers, dealer rotated tires. Rental vehicle 2 days.
