Abs module error , this has been on order for over a year, danger puts Jeep in limp mode under hard acceleration stalls out, danger when merging into traffic, manufacture has it under engineering review to keep from issuing a recall please investigate,.
Traction control, abs, and brake light all illuminated, then on 5/3/2026 while driving the speedometer quit completely. Replaced all 4 wheel speed sensors to see if it would help and nothing changed.
2015 Jeeps have know issues with the tipm and abs module. There have been recalls for these on dodges and other model Jeeps. Something needs to be done to fix this. You can't even get a new abs module for this Jeep and haven't been able to for years. Please help us. This is a huge safety concern!!.
While driving on the highway, my Jeep completely shut off and I lost control of everything the staring and I have no clue why it just shut off. I’m worried if I drive it I could do this while I’m on the highway and the third lane and I may end up in a collision.
Our 2015 Jeep Wrangler jk unlimited just caught on fire. I happened to be in my daughter’s bedroom, 20 feet away from where the Jeep was parked. I thought I was seeing flames reflecting from the tv, but I realized that they were real. My next thought was that my husband was building a firepit fire. I thought that was weird because he was doing it in the front yard, but I didn’t think any more about it because I was so focused on my work. I went back to work for a second, but something told me to look again. I did, and then realized that it was the Jeep that was on fire. I screamed for my husband, but couldn’t find him; I was scared that he was in the Jeep. Actually, he had been in the back yard and heard me screaming, so he ran up front to see what was happening. I called 911 while my husband tried to put the fire out with the water hose, which didn’t help- the flames kept getting higher. It took firefighters a while to extinguish the flames and to get it cooled off. The engine appears to be melted. It is in our yard and available for inspection. The fire fighters made a report that my husband has requested. We’re waiting on the insurance company to contact us. The fire smelled electrical. We smelled no gasoline. I was absolutely horrified thinking about what might have happened if it had ignited at night when no one was looking. My daughter, my pets, my husband, and I could have all been casualties of this spontaneous fire. The fact that it was day time, the unusual coincidence that I was where I was so that I saw the fire, and the fact that my husband parked on a different side of the yard than usual, all probably are the reasons we are alive today. Had any one of those events not been in play, it could have been a very different outcome. My husband had no indication that there was a problem with the Jeep. He’d just driven it. He reported no odors and no problems at all. He takes excellent care of it, so it was in great condition.
The abs warning light, traction control warning light, and emergency brake light are all lite up on the dashboard of my 2015 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport. Abs is not working on my Jeep. Mechanic shop checked for codes and said the abs control module is bad and needs to be replaced. The shop qouted me $1,500. 00 for parts and labor and that was if they could find a new abs control module somewhere. If part isn't replaced, I'm told that brakes could fail or Jeep could seize up after being driven so many miles. Mechanic shop said abs control module for Jeeps is on national backorder and they are hard to find, can find used ones at salvage yards but they are priced three and four times what they normally cost brand new and they may or may not be able to flash the module to match my VIN on a used one. In other words, can't get a new one because they are not being produced any longer, and there's no guarantee that a used one will work. Online forums have confirmed all of this information also, as there are thousands of people who are having this same issue over the past year or so. I have spoken with several online dealers who sell oem mopar parts and they have confirmed that this part isn't even being produced any longer and there is no replacement part for it. So all this to say, my Jeep is parked, undrivable because of a safety issue due to this part (abs control module) not being produced by anyone any longer.
I parked my car fully functioning with no lights on the dash board, after getting back in the car I had the abs light, brake light and stability light on. I checked the codes and I had a c2200 code. The abs module is bad and the part has been back ordered since 2021 from Jeep/stelantis. Now the part is discontinued and there is no solution at this time. These cars are driving on the road with no abs or stability control because the manufacturer has not released a replacement part in over 5 years. This is a major saftey concern and there have already been multiple accidents attributed to this defect. Were not even asking for a free fix we just want our vehicles able to drive safely and there is no option to fix it. This problem is only getting worse as time goes on. This is a widespread issue with 2014-2018 Wranglers.
The abs and traction control warning lights came on. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failed abs control module, part number 68259556ad. The vehicle is now considered unsafe to drive, and I am on a waiting list for a replacement part with no estimated time of arrival, and several others have been on this waiting list for two years. Replacement part can not be found.
I have been working with multiple mechanics to diagnose an intermittent and unpredictable stalling issue with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler jk rubicon unlimited, VIN 1c4bjwfg9fl668657. I have conducted the following repairs to attempt to fix the issue: 1. Rebuilt transmission 2. Replaced throttle body 3. Replaced pcv 4. Replaced crankshaft sensor 5. Replaced camshaft sensor 6. Replaced fuel pump 7. Replaced fuel pump fuse 8. Replaced fuel pump relay fuse mechanic and I have traced the problem to a likely fault in the tipm. Due to unpredictability of stalling this has become a safety issue as the car will stall in traffic. Most often between 35-40 mph and below 2000 rpm. . . This is always while driving and is unsafe for both me and my fellow motorists. Most recent date is noted later in this form. If requested, I can provide receipts for professional repairs noted above, and receipts for parts I have purchased to replace myself.
The component that is failing is unknown. Unknown to mechanics because a code is not thrown. I can be driving in my neighborhood, on the highway or coasting and my Jeep stalls. Everything else is working, radio, heater just the rpm goes to zero. I have to quick turn on my hazards and prey I can coast to safety. Once out of traffics way and I am in park my car will restart no problem. My safety is at risk because it will happen on the highway. My mechanic has checked all the sensors, fuel pump and filter, battery cables, alternator you name it its been checked or replaced. I have read Jeep forums to see what others are saying and there are over 100 other Jeeps that have this same problem. People are spending thousands of dollars to change out computers several times for it to keep happening and Jeep has no answers. It first happened two years ago, then about one time 6 months later and then 6 months are that it happened again. But recently its been happening everyday. No matter it I am coasting, on the highway or in my local area it will stall. No warning lights no engine lights just no response in the gas peddle when it stalls. This is going to be super dangerous if other Jeeps keep stalling on the highways. Check out forums it happens all the time. Jeep dealers just want to keep changing sensors for 200 here and there.
So I was driving into work on the interstate yesterday around 10am, and my Jeep started to die out of nowhere. I almost got in a wreck. I was able to pull over on the side, and the engine light came on and I took it straight to the auto mechanic. I guess my oil filter housing unit is bad and is causing my oil to leak. The auto mechanic said this is a known issue in the design flaws of crysler vehicles including my Jeep Wrangler with the 3. 6l engines. This could have gone much worst for me, and after doing some more research this is happening in their 3. 6l engines and is a confirmed design flaw. The issue is reported to affect vehicles with the pentastar v6 engine, including models like the Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, and Dodge charger, from around 2013 to 2021. They are saying it's not a safety issue, yet I almost caused an accident as my Jeep started to die while driving 70 mph. This needs to be recalled ASAP!!! it more than likely has already caused accidents.
Parking, brake, and abs alert lights constantly alert on the dash. When reaching approximately 50mph the steering wheel and vehicle begin to shake and wobble excessively, and the vehicle moves side to side in the road requiring an almost complete stop to control the vehicle. The brake pedals go almost to floor of vehicle taking longer to stop and at times require pumping. Abs module code #c2200 per dealer. Abs module unable to be ordered, no eta. Reports an ongoing issue for about 2 years with Jeep abs modules. Vehicle is not safe to drive.
Abs light on dash is illuminated, speedometer works intermittently, and sway bar dash light flashing. Power feels reduced when sway bar light is flashing. Occasionally while driving, door locks engage, sway bar light disappears and power is back to normal. Abs lights remain illuminated. No replacement part available.
Unknown but my concern is the clock spring recall. I would like that fixed I don't understand why I can't have it fixed under the recall for my Jeep Wrangler 2 door. I am worried that the air bag won't work. . . Right now the horn and a few other controls on the steering wheel doesn't work. So I believe this vehicle is part of the recall.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving over speed bumps at various speeds, several warning lights including the abs and brake warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact would restart the vehicle to resume normal driving. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was notified that the failure was related to brake software reprogramming. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted, and the check engine warning light intermittently flashed on the instrument panel. The contact was able to continue driving. In addition, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine and the failure was progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to a transmission center; however, no cause for the failure was found. The battery was removed and reinstalled. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving 15 mph during the rain, the vehicle hydroplaned on the road. The contact's father was driving and was able to control the vehicle. The contact stated that the traction control had failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 134,500.
Abs ,traction control, and brake lights are on abs control module is out and there are no parts available to make repairs and this has been a problem for awhile now . So I have a vehicle I can't use because stlantis has no parts avaliable.
I was driving and all the dash board lights came on and it started warning beepings then it would not go over 35mph the abs module was affected because it has a defective eyelet in the tipm module wiring connector that allows water to seep in I had a level 2 system testing done to find the defect. Jeep is aware of the problem because when I tried to order a new abs module I was told it was not available because they are re-engineering it.
I have been waiting on a part that been on back order for months- abs module anti lock braking system in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler- I'm not the only 1 waiting for this part to come off back order been since Feb 2024 I've been waiting its oct 2024 - they need to recall it if they cant take off back order very dangerous to drive.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the traction control, lane keep assist, emergency brake, and driver assistant steering systems warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the cruise control was inoperable while the warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the traction control failure warning light illuminated without the vehicle being driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the wheel speed sensor and brake module had failed. The wheel sensor was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, garber Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (3408 us-17, green cove springs, FL 32043); and was diagnosed with brake module failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.
Vehicle engine light flashing while vehicle is on. Vehicle shaking, odometor and other gauges are sporadically flashing and shutting off while driving.
The rear axel continues to blow out the bearings on both sides which ruins the brakes and calibers. 4 times this has happened and I have not been off roads. This is all on the highway. The certified technician said the rear axels need to be replaced. Jeep manufacturer said it is known as a common problem with Jeep so why am I having to pay for it. I want new axels and Jeep should cover it. Plus the electric door locks do not work and it is not a fuse. Jeep said it is a computer error on Jeep but won’t cover it.

Why no help crysler Jeep!.
I had a 2015 2 dr Jeep Wrangler willy's edition. In March 2023, after sitting cold in the driveway for 10+ hours, it spontaneously combusted. It was very obviously an electrical fire based on the smell alone. It appeared that the most damage was in the area of the battery and fuse box. Vehicle was completely totaled and I found many reports online of similar issues, including many Wranglers that were completely totaled after the fire. There is no official acknowledgement of this recurring issue. The fire caught so fast, if I had not been parked in the driveway faced away from the house, I might not have a home either. Insurance did not do an investigation into the cause of the fire.
Horn on steering wheel doesn’t work. This could cause a safety concern when trying to avoid a car accident. The following steering wheel controls don’t work; horn, radio controls, average fuel economy. Cruise control button is the only functioning button on the steering wheel.
Buttons on steering wheel does not work also the horn does not work also. I believe it's the clockspring which is a recall for some Jeeps but not mine. Which affects the horn and airbag.
My abs modules code c2200 and cruise control does not function. Chrysler states they are not replacing the malfunctioning part nor will they make a new part to purchase.
It went into severe vibration and vibration of steering. It was uncontrollable. It happened in my first highway trip since I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle had to be towed 100 miles. Cost of this was $5697. 97. After I paid $30,000+. To autonation in spring texas. Car was released to me with no inspection sticker. Electrical issues were looked at by the dealership and said there is nothing wrong. Can not see at night and turning signals work on and off. Defective roof seals that are leaking into the seatbelt tensioners. When I pull seatbelts to buckle they are wet. The tensioners are sitting in water when it rains.
Abs module failing causing brake pedal to shake and harden up to where you cant press brake pedal down and doesnt come to complete stop right away abs kicks in while driving or at times when abs should not engage causing vehicle to not stop properly. Called dealership to replace and statement given that the abs module is under investigation of engineering and can not be sold.
Dash lights suddenly lit up, power shut down and I had no control. Thankfully, I was able to coast off to the shoulder without incident. Dealer has confirmed that tipm module was faulty. Upon investigation, I have discovered this is a known problem with many Jeep Chrysler Dodge products.
My vehicle has been suddenly shutting off while I am driving. There is no warning that anything is wrong with the vehicle. The first time it happened was October 2021. When it has these failures they happen multiple times. The next day the car operates normally. There are no consistencies when this happens - it has shut off when I am driving 20mph and 60mph. There are no error messages that come up on the vehicle. I took it to chuck patterson and they were unable to retrieve an error code and refused to diagnose intermittent issues. They did not find any visible issues with the vehicle. I have an open case with stellantis but they have not done anything. This issue has happened when I am driving my 2 year old nephew and is life threatening. Stellantis has not sent out anyone to inspect my vehicle. I bought the vehicle brand new special order and it has 104,000. I have not had any issues until now.
The abs light and traction control light are displayed. Very common defect among Jeep Wranglers this can affect braking distance and speed control on various roads.
First owner of vehicle. Issues began with engine light appearing/blinking & vehicle struggling to run within 15k miles. Dealership diagnosed as cylinder misfire & repaired. Has occurred multiple times over life of ownership- always diagnoses as misfires. At apx 75k miles, upon cranking & during operation, heater became inconsistent in operation & this is still an issue. At apx 80k miles, upon cranking & during operation, ticking noise from front passenger side began. Faint at first & became increasingly louder within several days. Out of warranty. Solid check engine light began to appear off/on, remaining on for 24-48hrs then off 24-48hrs. Air conditioner conditioner has about a 15 sec delay before it turns on at every crank & power light for a/c slowly blinks until after the delayed start. Mechanic found 2 rocker heads damaged & they were replaced. Light not on at repair & code could not be pulled. Within 2 days of repair, a faint ticking noise became present on drivers side. Has been a week & ticking is now extremely loud. I am one of many with parallel issues & request this be addressed as my year & VIN do not fall in to the approved extended warranty to cover these very same issues.
While pulling out of my driveway I gently pressed the acceleration pedal and the vehicle started to glad the traction control light on the dash and the brakes were applied via the abs system. The car lost all forward momentum . I thought maybe the car had just broke traction even though I was on a flat surface that was paved and dry. However, when pulling out of the end of my street the same event happened and put me in a compromising position because the vehicle stopped in oncoming traffic that I was attempting to pull across and there was a car coming. Thankfully I was able to get out of the lane of traffic before I was t-boned in the driver side door.
I I will be driving and the car will go out of gear and looses power. I have to stop , turn it off and start again for it to work. This has happened 5 times in the last year.
