Abs module quit working, abs, brake, traction control warning lights came on. I then had no speedometer and transmission would not shift. Attempting to order a replacement part and have been told by every part dealer including mopar themselves that the abs module is unavailable with no estimated date for replenishment and has been for over a year.
Have no abs. The light for the abs stays on. Unable to get a part because it is under an "engineer review". The failed part is the hydraulic control unit. My safety and the safety of others are at risk due to no having anti lock brakes in south florida where the roads on constantly wet. This is clearly a known problem.
Abs module is faulty and cannot be replaced. Vehicle brakes spongy and unresponsive. Plastic oil module piece has been replaced several times, but less impacting than abs module.
Abs module is bad. I have been trying to get one for close to 2 years. Jeep tells me they are still on back order and not able to get one.
Garavel Chrysler Jeep Dodge 300 westport Ave norwalk, CT 06851 Jeep Wrangler sahara 2015 06/12/2025-06/13/2025 & 06/192025 - chris riordan (service advisor) & rich morel (service manager) 203-845-8040 my daughter was driving the Jeep and noticed the brake pedal was intermittently sinking to the floor, she brought it to the dealership where chris riordan (service advisor) immediately diagnosed the common problem with the 2015 Jeep Wrangler of caliper freeze up and hose replacement. Knowing this issue they still let her drive the vehicle home with a known hazardous defect, the vehicle was dropped off for repair on 06/12/2025. Later in the day we were notified that the mechanic upon re-installing one of the caliper bolts broke off the head of one of the bolts and they had to order one and it would be installed 06/13/2025, my daughter was there in the morning to pick up the vehicle only to find out it was not ready and that it needed to be test driven not once but twice ?? my daughter then drove on the highway home to pick up two children she was babysitting ,while pulling up to a friend's house she was told there was a grinding and scraping noise coming from the front left rim, we then told her not to drive the vehicle. At that a friend's mechanic removed the wheel and found the bolt missing that was supposedly ordered and installed with two test drives, so the caliper was flopping around off the rotor putting my child's life in danger. Our mechanic renewed the bolt and properly bled the brakes that garavel’s mechanic failed to do also, what he also found was a front axle seal leak and a defective tie rod. Garavels service department failed at every possible level.
This is a 2015 Jeep Wrangler sahara, it is need of a new abs modulator. This part has not been available for quite some time almost over a year. This is a critical safety feature that needs to be addressed. Jeep dealer told me and also a local mechanic not to drive in wet conditions. I have taken it to 3 different mechanics, dealer, and two outside the dealer, none can get the part. I have a abs light on and traction control light on and a brake light on due to this part problem. Please help me in resolving this.
The abs module failed. The abs now doesn't function. From what I have been told by multiple dealers Chrysler/Jeep is no longer manufacturing this replacement part. How can they get away with not providing replacement parts?.
I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety defect affecting my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. More than a year ago, the abs module in my vehicle failed. Since that failure, the abs warning light, brake warning light, and traction control warning light have remained illuminated. As a result, my vehicle no longer has functioning anti-lock braking system (abs), traction control, electronic stability control functions, or cruise control. The loss of these safety systems significantly increases the risk of an accident, particularly during emergency braking situations, wet road conditions, loose gravel, or any circumstance where wheel lockup or loss of traction may occur. Without abs, the wheels can lock during hard braking, increasing stopping distance and reducing steering control. Without traction control and stability control, the vehicle is more susceptible to skidding, fishtailing, and loss of control. I have contacted multiple Jeep dealerships seeking repairs. I have consistently been informed that the abs module required to repair the vehicle is unavailable and has been on indefinite backorder. Dealership personnel have been unable to provide any estimated availability date or permanent repair solution. While researching this issue, I discovered that numerous Jeep Wrangler owners have reported the same abs module failure. Online forums, dealership service departments, and consumer complaint websites indicate this is a widespread issue affecting many Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Owners have reported waiting several years for replacement modules, with some being told the part is discontinued or unavailable indefinitely. Dealership personnel have been unable to provide any estimated availability date or permanent repair solution. I believe NHTSA should investigate this issue as a potential safety defect affecting Jeep Wrangler models. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate the widespread abs module failures, the ongoing lack of replacement parts.
No cause or incident. Abs module internal failure code c2200. Part is no longer manufactured and cannot drive vehicle without abs. This should be illegal as the car is only 9-10 years old, and cannot find a new working abs module. You should force Jeep/manufacture to make these available as I have no car!!!!! and cant afford a used/rental or new car.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake and the traction control warning lights illuminated, and a message stating that the cruise control was inoperable, was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with abs module failure; however, the part was on backorder. The contact had contacted several other repair centers, who confirmed that the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer's warranty department was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
I have been attempting to get part 68259556ad which is brake module for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I have been trying to get the part since Nov 2023. This is making multiple light stay on my dash and the cruise control isn't working. Every month they says that it will be next month.
Abs module/brake and traction light came on in 2021. Jeep dealership said abs module is on backorder. The Jeep at that time was still drivable. Now, may 2025, the abs module has caused so many items to fail that I can no longer drive it. It is currently at the dealership and they just called to say that the transmission and 0 mph is due to the abs module and it is still on backorder with no time frame for them to come in if they do at all. How can this be legal? I can't drive it and I can't sell it! it is my only car! it is dangerous to have this problem with no fix! what can I do?.
The abs, trac control & brake lights are all illuminated on the dashboard. I took it to have a professional check it out. It turns out the abs modulator is faulty, causing my Jeep to not have abs, or traction control. This is a safety hazard as the Jeep is not known for its great handling during any emergency braking situation. Here's the worst part. Jeep has known about this for over a year without any solutions to fix it. Why haven't they been held to the standards? didn't the government bale them out before? this is a serius safety feature and Jeep needs to do something about this, ASAP.
I have been told that my abs module needs to be replaced and that Jeep is no longer making these. I am on a waiting list with thousands of people. I am able to drive my Jeep, thankfully, but I am unable to use my cruise control. I don't know what damage this issue is causing to my Jeep; I've read others horror stories about their Jeeps just sitting in the driveway unusable and unsellable. This should not be the case. This should be a recall and Jeep or Chrysler should be made to rectify this situation.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the abs control module. The vehicle was not repaired due to a lack of available parts. The contact was informed that the parts might not be available until 2026. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.
There is no available parts abs control module in dealership and other source.
The abs lights and other brake-related lights are on. Took it to the local dealer and they said the abs module is bad and needs replaced and they do not have any in stock and do not know when they will have it back in stock. I'm having to drive with no abs and no cruise control. I feel I am putting myself and others at risk.
Abs lights, break and traction control lights illuminated on dash. I took it to a repair shop, and they said the abs module put out a code it was failing and needed to be replaced and not to drive it because it was unsafe. They said we can't get the part they aren't making them. After checking this is true. So, I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that is not safe to drive, and it only has 40,000 miles on it and there are no repair parts to repair it.
Air bag light is on, no horn, traction light is on, can’t alert others bc no horn, air bag won’t deploy because clock spring is bad as well. Very scared to drive at times bc vehicle goes into limp mode. Recall on 2015 Jeep Wranglers with clock spring.
Parking, brake, and abs alert lights constantly alert on the dash. When reaching approximately 50mph the steering wheel and vehicle begin to shake and wobble excessively, and the vehicle moves side to side in the road requiring an almost complete stop to control the vehicle. The brake pedals go almost to floor of vehicle taking longer to stop and at times require pumping. Abs module code #c2200 per dealer. Abs module unable to be ordered, no eta. Reports an ongoing issue for about 2 years with Jeep abs modules. Vehicle is not safe to drive.
Abs module not working. Safety concern loses traction, brake shift and locks and slips when slipery. No parts available due to shortage.
Abs failure cause loss of power and ability to accelerate, dealer states part under engineering review for 2 years.
Abs module failure and Dodge can’t provide replacement parts. Failure causes loss of abs, traction control, cruise control, & 4wd.
Abs control module / traction/ brake - all warning indicators are lit on dash - again. Cruise control not functioning as part of this. System is available for inspection. Replaced 3 tire speed sensors and abs module at dealer in July 2023 because of dashboard lights. In January 2025 all 3 dashboard lights are again lit, diagnosed by dealership abs module failed and needs to be replaced. In January - parts are unavailable and cannot be back ordered, Jeep will not accept order. July 2025 I find that part can be ordered but Jeep fighting warranty replacement because order was just over the 2 year mark, yet the diagnosed failure was 8 months prior and unavailable for ordering. Multiple people are driving Jeep Wranglers without abs control modules functioning properly because Jeep didn't have part. Jeep has recalled 2 other models due to abs issues. It's a matter of time before someone is killed.
Abs light on dash is illuminated, speedometer works intermittently, and sway bar dash light flashing. Power feels reduced when sway bar light is flashing. Occasionally while driving, door locks engage, sway bar light disappears and power is back to normal. Abs lights remain illuminated. No replacement part available.
The anti-lock braking system (abs) module on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler failed at approximately 100,000 miles, causing a complete loss of abs functionality. The component remains installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. This failure significantly impacted my safety and the safety of others, as it compromised braking performance, making the vehicle more difficult to control during sudden stops or slippery road conditions. Without abs, there was an increased risk of skidding, longer stopping distances, and potential collisions, particularly in emergency braking situations or adverse weather conditions. Additionally, my cruise control is no longer operable due to this issue, further impacting the vehicle's drivability. The problem was diagnosed and confirmed by suncoast Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram, which identified the abs module failure as the cause and provided a repair estimate for replacement. While the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives, the dealership's diagnosis serves as confirmation of the defect. At approximately 100,000 miles, the abs warning light, traction control light, and brake light all illuminated on the dashboard simultaneously, signaling a system-wide failure. Since then, these warning lights have remained illuminated, indicating an ongoing issue with the vehicle’s braking and stability systems. The failure immediately coincided with a noticeable decline in braking performance and the loss of cruise control functionality. No other warning messages or alerts appeared before the failure. After researching this issue, I have found that this is a very common problem affecting numerous Jeep owners with models from 2007 to the present (jk and jku models). Many owners have reported similar abs module failures, leading to the loss of abs, traction control, and cruise control.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving over speed bumps at various speeds, several warning lights including the abs and brake warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact would restart the vehicle to resume normal driving. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was notified that the failure was related to brake software reprogramming. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Abs ,traction control, and brake lights are on abs control module is out and there are no parts available to make repairs and this has been a problem for awhile now . So I have a vehicle I can't use because stlantis has no parts avaliable.
**incident description:** while driving my Jeep Wrangler, the abs warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Upon further inspection and research, it was determined that the abs control module had failed, affecting the vehicle's braking system. This failure poses a significant safety risk, as it compromises the anti-lock braking function and overall stability during emergency stops or adverse road conditions. I have discovered that this issue is not isolated to my vehicle; it has been reported as a recurring problem among Jeep Wrangler owners on various forums and online communities. Many owners have shared similar experiences with the abs control module failing and the warning light appearing. To date, the problem has not been resolved. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center, which confirmed the failure of the abs control module. No prior symptoms or warning lamps were observed until the abs warning light appeared. This appears to be a systemic issue affecting numerous Jeep Wranglers, warranting further investigation and potentially a recall to ensure driver safety.
Abs module is bad . Was told that the part is no longer being made or there is a shortage of parts to get more out to the public. This is a safety issue this is a safety issue tat needs to be addressed. Google it and see all the problems people are having.
Abs module applying rear brakes & abs indicator with traction control indicator also- program module or replacement module- parts not available/ bake order.
Abs module. The safety lights are on for the abs module. We verified the fuses were all good, and replaced them with new ones, just in case. I took the car to a mechanic who used a handheld computer to reset the warning. The warning lights came back on as soon as I started the engine. My mechanic attempted to order the module, but we are getting that it is on back order. We had been told it would be at the dealership in oct 16th, but is still not available today oct 31st. I understand that if for any reason I have to slam on the breaks, there is a chance that my brakes will fail. I entered our VIN but received the message that our Jeep is not listed as on recall. Other 2015 Jeeps are on the list, but ours has failed?? doesn't seem right. I'm was not looking for free to begin with, but do need to correct this issue. Neither option is to available.
My abs control modual went out 14 months ago and no replacement part has been available at any Jeep dealership. They state that this part is on extended back order. I have spent months trying to get this replacement. I believe it should be a recall. It not safe to have thousands of Jeeps from year 2012 to 2020 on the road with non functioning abs control moduals.
