Cruise Control problems of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler

Two problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 02/20/2019

Whenever I hit a bump (ranging from small pot hole to larger pot hole) on the highway going 60+ mph, my cruise control will shut off by itself. Speed decelerates very quickly and I have to get it up to speed quickly to avoid getting rear ended. This has been happening for just over a year and it happens every time I hit any kind of small bump at an accelerated speed. Started happening around 5000 miles on Jeep and still does it at 17000 miles.

2 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 05/14/2017

While driving under normal conditions, I'll hear a single audible 'ding' and then see the airbag and esp light illuminate on dash along with the speed odometer drop from the speed traveling to 0 before normal operation. This happens much more often when the cruise control in engaged. It happened 5/14/2017 while traveling interstate 65 to such an extent that not only did I have to cancel cruise control, I actually had to turn if off to stop the dinging and flashing of the airbag and esp light. I had to finish the last 2. 5 hours of interstate travel without cruise control.
