1 Propulsion System Hybrid Management problem

Failure Date: 07/16/2026

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while reversing at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster flickered, the infotainment screen was inoperative, the vehicle shuddered, and then stalled. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was initially diagnosed that the auxiliary battery needed to be replaced; upon further inspection, the dealer discovered that the vehicle was equipped with a mild hybrid battery and that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
