Instrument Cluster/panel problems of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 24v652000 (electrical system); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,050.

The detective reported that the 2022 Jeep Wrangler spontaneously caught on fire. The contact stated that after the owner parked the vehicle, approximately six hours later a fire occurred which started in the engine compartment of the vehicle. The fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. During the incident the vehicle was destroyed. No injuries were reported. A police and fire report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was later tow away. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact was concern that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the NHTSA campaign number: 23v787000(electrical system) which did not include the diesel models. The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced that same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.
