I was driving 70-75 mph on interstate xxx going south from [xxx] to [xxx] after picking up my friends. I had e-save mode on to save the battery for later and out of nowhere the car lost all power and would not accelerate. Some writing flashed across the screen telling me to pull over in the emergency lane and stop and then restart the Jeep in hybrid mode. I had to throw on my hazards and pray someone who wasn't paying attention didn't hit me while I was no longer accelerating and trying to change lanes to get into the emergency lane. One in the emergency lane I was able to shut off the Jeep and restart it but e-save mode was no longer available. I was able to resume driving but only in hybrid mode. The issues lies in the hybrid systems electric only function. When climbing grades, the vehicle experiences severe power loss which can be felt by the driver and is displayed by the vehicle on the dashboard information cluster. Power output from the hybrid system drops to or below 50% output even when pressing the accelerator to maximum. This issue occurs almost every time climbing a steep grade regardless of exterior temps. After losing speed and power on a steep grade while working the accelerator to or near maximum application the engine is activated abruptly without warning and without the proper hybrid warm up sequence and causes startling shifting by the powertrain and jerks the vehicle. This behavior began after recall 68c was performed and hybrid battery replacement.
Our vehicle has been. Undriveable since recall 68c/25v-741 and has been at the Jeep dealer (friendship Jeep Chrysler in forest city nc) since 1/5/2026 with no guidance as to when to expect a fix and return to us. Between car payments, insurance payments, and accelerated depreciation we have lost thousands of dollars and we are not able to use the vehicle.
My Jeep Wrangler 4xe displayed a ‘service charging system’ warning immediately after unplugging from charging. I began to drive and noticed the warning right away. I then parked and attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start and became completely inoperable. The vehicle had to be towed. The dealer confirmed this issue is related to the current hybrid safety recall, but stellantis has stated that no repair is available, and it may not be available until the end of the year or the first quarter of next year. The vehicle is undrivable, and I cannot safely use or move it. Stellantis is only offering reimbursement for a rental, which I cannot access because I cannot afford to pay for a rental vehicle upfront. Reimbursement for what could be an unlimited or months-long period of rental fees is not a reasonable or accessible remedy. This leaves me without any safe or practical transportation option. I have now been without transportation for over 48 hours, and the manufacturer is not providing a reasonable remedy or safe transportation while the recall repair remains unavailable. I am filing this complaint so NHTSA can document the delay, the lack of an accessible remedy, and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a safe, timely solution for an undrivable recall-affected vehicle. The vehicle is undrivable and I cannot safely park or use it. Stellantis is only offering reimbursement for a rental, which I cannot access because I cannot afford to rent a vehicle upfront. I have now been without transportation for over 48 hours, and the manufacturer is not providing a reasonable remedy or safe transportation while the recall repair remains unavailable. I am filing this so NHTSA can document the delay and lack of an accessible remedy for an undrivable recall-affected vehicle.
While driving under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly became unstable and difficult to control. Steering response was abnormal, and the vehicle did not behave as expected, creating a loss of stability and control. The incident occurred without warning and required the vehicle to be towed. This event raised serious safety concerns, as the vehicle appeared prone to instability and unsafe operation. The vehicle has a history of repeated mechanical and safety-related issues that were previously addressed through warranty service but not resolved. Despite prior repairs, the unsafe condition persisted and culminated in this incident. The manufacturer was notified of the ongoing defects and safety concerns but did not provide corrective resolution beyond referring the vehicle back to dealership service.

Over the last 45 days, my Jeep has suffered repeated breakdowns that required towing to the Jeep dealership—it is now the fourth tow in this short window for the same issue. On November 10th, I was informed it was a wiring harness issue. On November 17th, they completed the work with the wiring harness and mentioned that now shifter assembly now has internal failure. Respectfully, this situation is unacceptable. Particularly for a critical component that renders the vehicle inoperable and raises significant safety concerns. This issue is especially troubling given that I have young children and rely on this vehicle for our daily transportation, and has stopped me in the middle of the road multiple times. Timeline: October 7th, 2025: service electronic stability control signal - vehicle disabled on road; towed to my home October 8th, 2025: second service electronic stability control signal- vehicle is again inoperable - towed to Jeep dealer October 9th, 2025: third service electronic stability control signal pops up and disappears. October 15th, 2025: fourth service electronic stability control signal - vehicle is again inoperable - towed to Jeep dealership November 8th, 2025: fifth service electronic stability control signal - vehicle picked up by Jeep dealership November 17th 2025: notified by the service advisor that service shifter came on after completing work with the wiring harness. This is a huge safety concern that needs immediate investigation, and the manufacture needs to be help liable for these rescue ring issues.
Car shut down on 8/25/25 and would not start. Indicated problem with charging system. Vehicle is currently in cabo san lucas, bcs, mexico. Towed car to local Jeep dealer. Car had outstanding recall (zb7 2021-2023 jl 4xe loss of motive power). Dealer diagnosed issues as a failure of the battery, so that was replaced, along with software updates to address the recalls. We had to pay over $900 out of pocket for these repairs, and it stayed with the dealer for 3. 5 weeks. Two days later the vehicle is again failing with the same issues and will not start. It began with the check engine light coming on, then a/c stopped cooling, then the car only would stay in hybrid mode, and the transmission was revving. After stopping the car and shutting it off it will not restart.

The message “service transmission” was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialty shop, where it was diagnosed, and dtc: p0733 was retrieved. The contact was informed that the failure was with the third gear in the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was driven to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the vehicle remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to technical service bulletin: 21-009-25. The manufacturer suggested that the vehicle be taken to the dealer for an inspection, and depending on the findings, the manufacturer might assist with the cost of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
At highway speeds my vehicle surges fairly violently, creating a safety hazard and limiting movement in traffic. Talk to the Jeep corporate office and they said there’s a number of technical service bulletins on this issue, but there’s not been enough to calls a recall, but they did state. It was a known issue. This is very dangerous. .
There’s seems to be an issue with these transmissions. They are leaking oil from the casing and could potentially run dry and have major transmission failure.
This vehicle has been towed to the dealership 4 times for ongoing transmission errors and has caused the vehicle to shut off in traffic on 3 separate occasions, putting myself and those around me in immediate danger. The vehicle has actually rolled backwards in traffic on 1 occasion, without giving me the ability to stop it initially because the brakes and gear shift were locked up. The vehicle has also been repaired for a multicylinder engine failure early on as well. The vehicle is now showing issues with the battery wiring and has been repaired several times regarding this as well.
My Jeep began experiencing a death wobble going about 65 mph . When driving at 65 mph and went over a bump on the roadway my vehicle’s steering and suspension began shaking violently and almost caused an accident. Anytime the vehicle was cranked up the throttle was elevated and stayed elevated till for 10 mins and you can not drive for 20 mins because the throttle would stick wide open and unable to lower . The exhaust has a backfire upon acceleration as well. The exhaust system is ran underneath the gas tank which I believe is a hazard . There is a ticking and knocking noise in the engine as well.
I brought my Jeep in for the 95b recall this past December (12/17/24), it was fixed for about a week then problems with the electric system emerged and the vehicle would not run in electric mode. I also received messages saying that an oil change was required (despite having an oil change done in December), and that the battery needed to be charged for maintenance (despite the battery being fully charged the previous evening). I brought it back to dealer (2/3/25) to fix the issue. They said they fixed it and gave it back to me. A few days later the same problems reappeared so I brought it back on 2/22/25 and just received word that they cannot find a solution to the problems despite working with tech advisors from other dealerships and stellantis. In short, I have had the same issues with the vehicle since about November, they have attempted to fix it 3 times and now are telling me that they do not have a fix for the problems. Please help!.
I have a 2022 Wrangler 4xe. This weekend I rear ended a car in stop and go traffic. When I used the brake it actually felt like the car jumped forward a bit. I had to stomp on the brake pedal again as if my first attempt had no grab. More details. . . I was in hybrid mode with <1% battery status and max regen was on. I was going less than 10 miles an hour. Jeep has a max regeneration function that uses the engine to generate an ev battery recharge. I understand that the max regen sort of turns off when you are rolling at really low speeds, but it seems the transition to/from this is rough on the transmission or something. This only happens at low speeds (in parking lots, etc) this behavior happens intermittently but, this is the first time I was not able to stop completely before an impact occured.
This recall has no resolution which is absolutely unacceptable. There is a fire risk for my primary vehicle, and I am unable to charge it - the entire reason I purchased this vehicle at a premium.
Upon purchase of the Jeep, within 8k miles, the fuel pump went out and left me stranded. Now, at 27k miles, the car has been undriveable for 4 months. The engine will not accelerate, causing near collisions on highways. Over 13k in repairs are currently in place and there is still no resolution.
Vehicle has had multiple instances of lurching forward and/or not even moving when gas pedal is pressed. Several of these instances have occurred when coming to a stop or when trying to start from a stop. When the brake would be pressed the vehicle would jump forward. In one very memorable occurrence I was at a 4 way intersection coming to a stop and the vehicle lurched forward into the intersection almost hitting another vehicle. It also has issues when pressing the gas, you will give is gas and it won’t go anywhere and then all of a sudden lurch forward. We have several instances of a hard transmission shift where the vechile will “buck” and jar you into your seat. Vehicle has been to 3 dealerships, all state nothing is wrong, no codes were thrown.

The following is an excerpt of the original email I sent dealer on 6/9/2024 one day after I purchased the vehicle: I spoke to **** yesterday and made him aware the transmission on my new/used Jeep Wrangler I just bought failed. I left your facility in the bronx at 1:40 pm yesterday and was on the side of the northern parkway at approximately 3:30 pm in dix hills exit 41. **** spoke to your manager **** and recommended that I have it towed to the closest Jeep dealer. The Jeep is now at the huntington Jeep service center in commack at 5080 jericho turnpike. After waiting for a tow for almost two hours we arrived at huntington Jeep. The service shop was closed for the day and I am without a car and have no loaner car. I expect riverdale to have a loaner car in my driveway tomorrow morning. Attached is also the receipt from the tow I need to be reimbursed on. See also pictures of Jeep on flatbed tow truck. The fact of the matter is that I asked about the open clutch recall and was assured that your maintenance team went through the Jeep and took care of any open items. This was not true, as per the attached open recall I just found on the mopar recall site. It clearly says this VIN# Jeep was not addressed and the exact description in the recall is what happened to me. The Jeep indeed smelled like it was going to go on fire. The fact that you guys sent me on my way with what could have been a very dangerous situation because you neglected to disclose the correct information on the recall. I could have been killed someone near my vehicle could have been killed, because I know for a fact something shot out of the transmission housing and the car behind me had to swerve out of the way. I fortunately was able to get to the side of the parkway safely. I still have no correspondence from either dealer regarding a fix/repair a week later and no loaner car or rental. Yesterday I gave riverdale Chrysler Jeep the opportunity to reimburse me in full and I have no response.
There was a prior recall where if there was discoloring or charring of the battery terminal a new battery was suppose to be installed. I reported this and showed the damage, and they just cleaned the terminals and sent me down the road. Now that these are burning houses down I would like to get out of this lease, its almost up anyway.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and assisted the contact in towing the vehicle to a parking lot. The vehicle was jumpstarted; however, the failure recurred while the contact was driving the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the battery and the auxiliary fuse were replaced; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer then informed the contact that the vehicle had been repaired. The contact then inquired that the dealer perform the recall repair of NHTSA campaign number: 23v116000 (power train); however, the dealer informed the contact that the part had been ordered and would be available in two months. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

Burning clutch smell…. Recall is over a year old…dealer say parts not available ?? how long can a recall go for…they should inform owners of the time frame…so should I continue too drive my $50,000 dollar Jeep . . Which may burst into flames ?? or not.
It’s a recall on 6 speed manual transmission. A few times I smell the burning clutch smell. . The recall says the Jeep can catch fire. . It’s been almost a year since I got the notice and still no repair . . Am I suppose to risk my Jeep catching on fire?.

The clutch in my 2022 Jeep Wrangler has been under recall since March 5, 2023 due to risk of overheating and catching fire. Jeep has pushed back their solution to this recall for 2022 models until August 2024. I am worried about the safety of my passengers, particularly if I have passengers in the backseat that would need to evacuate through the front doors by moving the driver's seat forward. Jeep's unwillingness to find a timely remedy is unacceptable, as is their unwillingness to reimburse for aftermarket solutions.

On the evening of August 19 I was returning to katy texas from a trip to austin texas. About half way home the axle locker fault indicator light came on along with a blinking rear axle fault indicator. Just east of sealy texas on 1-10 I heard a clunk and saw smoke pour out from underneath the back of the Jeep. I also lost forward momentum and had to make my way over from the far left lane 3 lanes to the emergency lane without power. I was fortunate to be near an exit and was able to roll off onto the feeder and into grassy area off the road. With a loss of power in heavy traffic this could have caused a fatal accident. The Jeep, which is slightly over a year old was towed by aaa to my house. On Monday Jeep was called who towed it to autonation at 21777 katy freeway. They analyzed the problem and it was a broken pinion gear in the differential. The rear differential had been replaced by the dealer in March due to the same warning lights from the axel position sensor. As of the submittal of this report, the Jeep is at the dealer waiting for an axle replacement.
While driving me 2022 4xe with the doors off my Jeep remained in drive but abruptly stopped it remained in drive but the d on the gear shifter started blinking. This happened multiple times and could have caused a serious accident. My Jeep was flatbed to the dealership and is still being diagnosed my Jeep is less then a year old and already had one recall completed.
