Stability control goes out at 70+ mph over any deviation in the road surface and not just a major bump. I lose control of the Jeep completely and have to take my foot of the gas and then it will right itself. This is a threat to life and safety and for a four year vehicle should not be happening. Also, all the electrical components went out and the fuel gauge goes down and up randomly, the stability control lights come on and off which terrify me and I am shaken to the core as I don't want to lose control of the vehicle as I have for the past weeks at 3 or 4 times a week on average! the speedometer goes down to 5 mph then back up to 66mph then back down and my headlight lamps flickered on and off all at the same time. All fuses are intact and secure. Then the Jeep would start and I checked the fuses and made sure they were secure and it started again. I need help and am fearful for my life using this Jeep and have only had it a year. This should not be happening to a 4 yo vehicle. Please assist me. Thank you for your time.

Driving down road yesterday with no rain, completely dry and 89 degrees, all the sudden my Jeep makes a dinging noise and the service electronic stability control light comes on. I called dealership they said if it came back on or didn't go off to schedule an apt. I ask if safe to drive, response was I guess not sure, should not hurt anything. This same dealership had to enter a code into my computer last week because my Jeep was automatic, but when you got in it, it says depress clutch and turn key, for straight drive. Also the center console lights some time would work and sometime not, after the update that stopped. Not sure what to do about the esc light, it did go off.

Bought my Jeep 2018 Wrangler brand new, had issued with the steering become very hard to turn was barely turning on a corner street. Literally impossible to make a right turn, all of a sudden it just became easy to turn as if nothing was wrong. Also a service shifter light and the stability controll light comes on every now and then, now the issue is the screen is displaying an anti theft screen asking for a theft code and Jeep will not turn on.
My electronic stability control service light continues to come on, even after several repairs and software updates.
Tl-the contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph, the steering wheel was difficult to steer. In addition, the electronic stability control warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to hudson Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram at 625 route 440 south, jersey city, NJ 07305 where it was diagnosed that the track bar fractured at axle frame and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notifed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 800. Ak.
I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon, I bought it new and it has not been off road except in a field or two and the only mud it has seen is from the road. It has not been lifted nor does it have over sized tires. I have had my electronic stability control light come on a few times in the 6 years I have had the vehicle, but it has always went right back off. It and the abs came on a few weeks ago and will not go off, because it thinks my vehicle is sliding or spinning, the right front brakes will grab and it cuts the power to the engine. Today I was pulling out onto a main road and the brakes were acting like the abs(that warning light is also on) was pulsing, I could feel it in the pedal. As I hit the gas to pull onto a very busy highway, the esc light started flashing and cut the power to my engine and I could not go. As I was in a merge lane I was able to quickly cut to the right and get back off the road before I was hit by another vehicle. This is not the first time this has happened since this problem has been going on. I have had the Jeep to the dealership and they ordered the wiring harness (broken wire they said) to fix it 2 weeks ago and they haven't contacted me that it is in yet. But I was told that because the wiring is ran through the frame they have to pull the body off to replace it. Yes it is going to cost a lot to fix, but I will also have to arrange to take it to the dealership(which is about an hour away) and until I am able to do that, I still have to drive it. I contacted Jeep and talked to someone with their customer service about the concerns I have with being able to pull into traffic and the brakes holding me back and asking if there was a recall for this problem, but they said no and wasn't really concerned about it. And also, the warning lights come and go, flash and it won't go, as it did today when I tried to merge into traffic.

Totally integrated power module (tipm) item has failed , causing me to replace other parts diagnosed by pcm as being faulty, but replacing those parts resulted in same error codes. Actual fault found to be a failing tipm. I have constant error codes, random horn, or lack of horn, random actuating of stability control causing one corner of Jeep to brake suddenly and giving the stability control warning light. Random power and fuel economy problems. Spent +$600 in parts that did not fix what Jeep said was problem, when problem is tipm giving the problem. Just waiting to see if bursts into flames, as have smelled hot wires coming from it recently. This has occurred while stationary and in while motion.

I keep getting a stability control light and that causes the ecb light too pop and then I have no steering wheel controls. This all started after I tried to superchip my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Sense then my Jeep has been in a local shop for about a month and they have had the brain reflashed and have changed gears for the 4inch lift and much much more. I was driving 65mph when the stability control first tries to take control of the vehicle, talk about scary. . . Anyone out there have this or similar issues, please help.
On 6 separate occasions, the electronic stability control light came on, which disables the cruise control. The Jeep has 42,000 miles, and it started happening at about 39,000 miles. It happened at various speeds between 30 mph and 65 mph, on moderately bumpy roads, however, not bumpy enough to be described as outside of the normal. Took it into the Jeep dealership, and they said it was working properly, but it never happened before 39,000 miles of driving the same roads under the same conditions.

The abs, stability control and traction lights keep going off and also disabling the speed control while driving. So far Jeep has replaced the abs sensors and the stability sensor twice. The car is being driven, usually going off on dry pavement. The Jeep also had the computer system shut down the vehicle with a security alert that need a computer update a few months prior.

I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon, no modifications have been made to the vehicle. I bought it new and have had numerous problems with it from the beginning. The most recent problem has already been reported on this website by someone else. I was driving and the check engine and stability control lights both came on. Once this happens, acceleration is significantly compromised and the transmission continues to shift back and forth. I have a lifetime warranty on the vehicle and took it to the dealer. They replaced some sensors and told me it was good to go and come pick it up. Five minutes after I left the dealer both lights came back on. Took it back, they replaced some other parts and told me it was ready. Picked it up and within ten minutes both lights were back on. Took it back and they replaced the computer, I waited this time, they said those codes were gone although a new code was now showing up. Told me I could drive it and they would order me another computer. Yesterday, while sitting in the parking lot of the movie theater a bell started going off, the oil light came on, sway bar light came on, all of the gear position lights came on and the engine ran up to about 6000 rpms. I turned it off and it would not restart. After about 15 minutes it restarted and I was able to drive for about 2 minutes and everything came back on and the car would not go over 20 mph. I made it home and a wrecker picked it up and took it to the dealership. I am waiting to hear what they think it is this time.
The warning light for the brake assist, airbag & stability control light up. Took it to the shop and was told that the clock spring was faulty that is why the lights come on. The cost to repair the clock spring is over $800. 00. All it does is make it so the warning lights turn off, so I have chosen not to repair it. This is a common problem with the jk Wranglers. The problem is if there really is an issue then I won't know because the light is always on. I feel that Jeep should repair this as a recall.

I first noticed prior to may 2014 that my cruise control had quit working but just figured the control had gone out. Then about may 2014 the airbag, stability control and abs lights came on while I was driving and have been on since then. The Jeep does still chime notifying me of the issue. After researching the problem I've come to conclusion its the clockspring, which has been recalled/warranty extended on several model year Wranglers. I have a hard time believing understanding why this hasn't been extended to additional model years. Is Jeep waiting on xx number deaths and injuries to occur due to a faulty part related vehicle safety?.
2013 Jeep Wrangler . Consumer writes in regards to vehicle electrical problems. The consumer stated when a tone sounded, the brake light, abs and stability lights illuminated. Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4dr 4x4. While the contact was driving approximately between 40-45 mph attempting to change lanes, the vehicle began to pull into the right direction violently. The contact was able to gain control and continued. The traction control, electronic stability control and abs warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The warning light remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. The authorized dealer and manufacturer were notified and stated the failure could be related to a faulty sensor and recommended the vehicle be diagnosed to determine the specific sensor. 2009 Jeep Wrangler. S10 comeback-letter to the secretary from senator on behalf of constituent re Jeep stability problems (reply directly to constituent). The consumer stated while driving, the electronic stability program light illuminated and warned him that he was sliding on a straight section on the interstate which was dry. The right front brake locked up, which almost caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle. His foot was on the accelerator and was being forced off the road onto a grass embankment. The esp/bas indicator then indicated that the system had a problem and had been disabled. Because the system had shut down, the consumer was able to return home where he collected information on the esp system. The consumer stated the vehicle has been repaired.
