My seat back has been automatically going back all by itself while I'm driving!! it happened 4 times yesterday while driving on the highway!! this has happened a number of times while driving.

The passagen side seat belt comes on and beeps and stays on sometimes and other times it dont then the check engine one day started flashing on me lost of power wouldnt do no more then 60mph.

The front driver's seat bolts loosened and came completely off the track. This could have caused me to crash as the seat was no longer stable and shifted about the car until I could get to a safe location. If I had gotten into a crash I would most likely not survived as there was nothing that held me in the car despite having my seat belt on. The vehicle is at the dealership now. There were no warnings that this seat was malfunctioning and the bolts were loosening.

I have a flashing check engine light while driving my vehicle was not trying to give gas or anything.

Brakes do not work properly,changed pads but still same problem. A noise on engine and the vehicle does not speed more than 65-70 mph. Drivers seat don't work properly.

I had taken the vehicle to the kia dealer in orange county, and they charged me extra to resolve the recall, and the vehicle's air conditioning system is no longer working, the gas intake is ridiculous, and the car does not have the same power as it used to.

The car will not accelerate at a safe time frame. For example if I need to cross a busy street. I have to wait until there are absolutely no cars coming because when I accelerate my engine revs but doesn't move. I've been almost rear ended several times because the transmission will not go into gear. The engine will hit 8 or 9 thousand rpm then the transmission decides to catch and throw my head into the seat. Which if there is a car in front of me I have to be careful not to rear end them because of the sudden acceleration.

Car spontaneously caught on fire resulting in total loss. No injury but driver had to jump out of moving vehicle.

The seat has completely ripped open just from getting in and out of the car. Now I have duct tape the seat so it looks very trashy.

I noticed a burning smell and thought that my engine was burning. I looked down toward the floor and noticed smoke coming from under the driver's seat. My 2013 kia Optima has had difficulty remaining in a sraight line on the freeway. Tends to pull left and right. The rate of travel is aprox. 45-65mph. There is also a problem with "oversteering" when I attempt to return to the center of the lane. I had been driving my other car for 29yrs, and I assumed that newer cars may have been differnt, such as being more sensitive with steering. I have almost had a collision on the freeway because there are also blind spots in several areas of the kia otima. This time I did end up in collision because of blindspots and oversteering in order to avoid hitting the car next to me, and instead hit the car next to me on the other lane when I attempted to move out of their way this occurred from sensetive oversteering. Our airbags did not deploy. Before this accident, I had received a letter from kia stating they wanted to know if I would like to trade up to the knew kia Optima. The email stated they had new features; such as cameras for blind spots. This made me aware that kia knew there was a problem with these serious . Blindspots. The car was also beginning to rumble, and I believed it was coming from the engine,in fact quite sure it was from the engine. I also had received a letter in the mail from kia, stating they were having problems with the engines from certain years of the kia Optima my car was within the years stated. It stated they would honor this problem if you kept this letter in your car, when bringing it in for repairs. I was going to do this, but the car is now totaled after the accident.

This vehicle suffers from a hesitation during take off. According to kia this hesitation come from a 7 speed dual clutch transmission(dct). Which causes the vehicle the driver to feel a shudder sensation. This vehicle has a double clutch. I have taken my 2016 kia Optima dealers for repair to this problem without any solution. 1. The driver side door locks and refuses to unlock. The driver side door cannot be open and the driver side door knobs inside and outside are not working. This can be a serious safety issue in an emergency situation, because the driver cannot escape through the driver side door. This issue must become a recall item as soon as possible. The drive and passenger seats are to low in this car. Almost had an accident because my wife who is 5' tall cant sit higher than the sideview mirrors, and they block her view. I test drove the car when we bought it, so didn't sit to low for me being 6' tall. This is a serious safety issue.

The front passenger seat is as low as it can go and there is no adjustment to heighten the seat. The vehicle is not cheap and you would think that the passenger would be able to adjust the height of the seat. Passengers can slide down easily with this feature/option gone. Not all passengers are under 5'10 and this is not good.

Front passenger seat is mounted far too low in all 2011 and 2012 kia Optima cars. A passenger will easily slip under the seat belt and could be seriously injured. Kia USA has been contacted and refuses to acknowledge this design defect, although it has been noted repeatedly by owners of these cars when posting on kia Optima forums online.

I bought a brand new 2011 kia Optima hybrid and the car pulls heavily to the left even on straight roads. I took the car to the dealer and they did an alignment and they say it is within specs but it acts the same. If you let go of the steering wheel for a couple seconds you're on the shoulder. This is a very serious safety issue. Second issue is that both driver and passenger seats were bolted down in one bolt out of four. The dealer installed the missing bolts but this makes me really worried about the quality control at kia. What else might they missed? I don't even want to think what might have happened had I been involved in a collision before noticing this. Unacceptable!.

The sun visor does not stay up. The sun visor on the driver side is vision impairment. The switch for the both seats does not work. The wheel bearing is bad. The tire pressure wheel sensor and the transmission speed adjustment sensor are bad on this 2006 kia Optima , constantly bulbs for taillight blow.

I drive a 2007 kia Optima, I was in an accident; while driving 55mph, I broadsided a van. Upon inspection of my vehicle, I noticed that the drivers seat came off the track and twisted toward the drivers door, tight against the inside door frame. The back of the seat came forward, which led to no more give in the seatbelt - which I think caused my left clavicle to snap in two.

On our 2014 Optima lx model the passenger seat is adjusted to low to the floor board and my partner which is 61 years old and 4'10" is staring right at the dash cannot see over the top of dash and if air bag should deploy maybe very dangerous not to mention would like to see the outside world .
