Brake Disc Rotor Problems of Kia Motor RIO

The contact owns a 2007 kia Rio. While the contact was driving at approximately 25 mph, the vehicle suddenly began to vibrate violently. After examining the vehicle, the contact noticed that the front passenger side tire was bent. The vehicle was towed to the dealership where the contact was informed that the front rotors, axle, and velocity joint needed to be replaced. The current and failure mileages were approximately 12,000.

: the contact stated the vehicle's front end made a loud clanking noise and was taken to an independent mechanic who determined upon examination that both rotors needed to be replaced. The mechanic replaced the rotors. Then, the vehicle had problems with the rear end, and was taken to a local dealer who determined that the axle bearing was bad and that the rear wheels were bent. The dealer provided the vehicle with proper maintenance and brake service and repaired the fuel pump. The vehicle was currently at the dealer for further examination of ongoing problems. No further repairs were made. Updated 03/19/07. The fuel pump was repalced. Updated 09/25/07.

Since purchase of vehicle in 12/02 the car has had several reacuuring problem most of which the brakes vibration and car shaken when brakes applied. It has been back top dealership 5 times for brake problem complaints most recent was 10/23/03. So far they have dpne new pads in front wheels resurfacewd rotors more than once replaced wheel seal and mostly said could not notice any problem. On 11/06/04 at between 10:15 -10:30 the car was involved in an accedent due to a driverside rear wheel freezing up with out touching the brakes causing vehicle to veer off the road.

Vehicle vibrated after driving 45 mph or more. The faster vehicle was going the more it vibrated. Consumer took vehicle to the dealer, who had the front brake rotors and calipers replaced. Vehicle did not have abs brakes, yet the vehicle continued to shake.

While driving at any speed and brakes were depressed steering wheel shook hard. Dealership serviced vehicle four times, rotors were turned three times, and brake system replaced once.

The brake rotors experienced premature failure, which caused the vehicle to experience a vibration when the brakes were applied.

While driving brakes were sqeaking, and hesistating when braking. Took vehicle dealer, and they readjusted brakes. In February of 2002 rotors needed replacing. Please provide any further information.
